The book is informative and up-to-date
I read the book as a tech startup founder and as a software engineer, I found the book very well organized and its content provide valuable ideas and points for consideration on hiring or when applying for jobs.

This is a must-read
I've been an agency recruiter for over seven years and would have paid handsomely for a resource like this on day one. This book is a soup-to-nuts view of the technical recruiting and hiring process. Topics range from the most basic parts of the job to the many nuances that can only be learned with experience. Whether you're internal, external, new, or seasoned, this book contains timely, relevant insights that will help you improve your craft. If you're a recruiter, hiring manager, or founder, read it. I bought 20 copies to distribute to friends, colleagues, and clients.

Should be titled HR Generalist Guide to Recruiting
If you are looking for a detailed guide to IT Technical Recruiting - this is NOT it. This massively overpriced book has very little content that has to do with IT Technical Recruiting - no breakdown of technologies or platforms, no breakdown of common IT roles, etc. It is an overly detailed walk through of basic HR Generalist roles such as insuring diversity and inclusion, creating job titles and job descriptions, college recruiting, how to conduct an in person interview, etc.
