Q: I bough the "Cleanforce" brand and got a refund due to the chemical smell. DO these off-gass or have a chemical smell to them?

Been using them for a few years and haven’t noticed any smell, however I never tried smelling them right as I opened them

Q: Can this be used for the Baby Breath Model?

I don't believe so This is a fairly large filter and it sounds like yours is much smaller.Refer to the seller for the exact fit

Q: Can you add more activated carbon to the filter? diy ? others have said sounds like is not full?

My replacement for the Austin Air seems OK but I haven’t had it long enough to comment on longevity. I don’t like the flimsy outer filter, however the original one from Austin Air was no better. David
