Do not recommend this mat if you have manufactured decking. I live in a brand-new condo with brand-new decking, and as you can see from the attached photo, my deck has been discolored from the mat after it got wet from rain.

Very Very disappointed with this mat. This is a new composite deck. As you can see it’s discolored now from this mat. Not sure if I can get my money back but I should!

(Less than 1/8") Thin rubber junk... texture on both sides may add to non slip but I could've bought a sheet of textured rubber anywhere else for much cheaper. Does have the "cheap foreign rubber product" smell when box is opened. Advice for solid heavy duty waterproof mat: buy a horse stall mat from farm store and trim to fit. Much more durable and around the same price for a larger sheet

I just love the GrillTex Under the Grill Protective Mat Cover 39x72 inches. It saves my deck from getting grease from the grill on my deck. I would order again. I was completely satisfied.

I have purchased grill pads in the past using them with the same smoker. I usually replace the pad every 4-5 years. This pad is not the same brand I purchased in the past. I made the decision not to use the smoker on my wood deck and used the cement pad below the deck.With its first use, two hot charcoal briquette fell from the smoker pad onto the pad. The pad now has two beautiful holes in it. Glad I place the grill and this pad on cement. It's likely the wood decking would have caught fire.

Product looks great and its easy to clean, HOWEVER...I have a composite deck and after 10 days of this mat sitting on my deck with the grill, I had to move the mat to make room for a new patio table and to my surprise, my decking is now stained and ruined. 13 boards * $50 per board = $650 + labor. This is a HUGE deal and I think the company should assume liability for this. Nowhere in the product listing does is state that the buyer should not install this on composite wood although the product photo clearly shows a composite wood surface, but instead list everything to the contrary!We are thoroughly unhappy with this product.

It is a mat. My grill sits upon it. Exactly as promised.

At first, I expected the product to provide protection when using my outdoor grill. However, one rainy afternoon later, a few drops of WATER off the mat grossly discolored the deck boards. At this time, do not have a remedy to fix or minimize the damage.

Have only had it for a few weeks now but seems to be working well. I purchased it to protect our composite deck from any stray BBQ charcoal embers. Has saved a couple of burn spots already.

Received a few days after ordering, and was rolled up in a long box. I unrolled the mat and kept inside for a few days to let out the curl and then with a warmer day put out. The mat has been great with no side curling, hugging the ground. Very easy to walk on and almost seamless to the floor. Had to shovel snow over last few weeks and been mindful of where the boundaries are but it seems very durable anyways. Recommend this product for backyard grillers that are looking to protect their patio stone and or decks.

I built a new deck this year, and wanted something to fit under our barbecue to make sure any wayward grease didn't damage and stain the new wood.This mat fits very well under my six-burner barbecue, and has thus far protected the wood through several barbecues. I am happy with its performance so far.

I purchased this mat to go along with a Smoker I bought for my husband for a Christmas gift . We have the smoker on our deck with a vinyl surface so my concerns for a barrier were high. This Mat has been the most perfect size and has met all of our expectations in protecting our deck from spills, heat and appearance. We love it!

Bought this to protect my new composite deck. So far it fits my large 6 burner Weber BBQ. The material looks good and would like to see how this withstands our Canadian elements. So far happy with this purchase.
