Works too well - hard to create an even finish
I had the opposite problem, this solution worked way too well. I applied the patina to my project after first using Sophisticated Finishes primer and copper bases. I put the patina on and what a mess! The patina is clear when you put it on, so you can't really see how much you have applied and how heavy or light it is. The patina pooled - even though I wiped off the excess. I was left with a project with a very uneven finish and not at all natural looking. To fix this, I'm going to purchase another bottle of patina and try to even out the drips. I may have to buy some copper and run it lightly through the completely and heavily patina-ed areas. Wish me luck!
