I own Monique's first book, so I was really looking forward to this one as well. There are patterns for 11 quilts, most of which are a very generous lap size, but nearly every quilt has necessary information for three alternate sizes. I especially like that six of the quilts use only 12 FQs (plus background & borders), and the others range from 14-20 FQs. There's a lot of variety and it is easy to visualize different design and coloring options to make your quilt unique!The title of the book has changed from that shown in the picture as of this date(originally More Fat Quarter Winners, following on her successful Fat Quarter Winners theme) to Traditional Fat Quarter Quilts. I believe the only reason for the title change may be that her first book used fat quarters for scrappy backgrounds and this book uses a common background for all. Whatever it's called, it's another success for Monique.

Another wonderful book by Monique Dilliard. This book provides detailed instructions for 11 beautiful quilts. You are also given multiple size options for each pattern. The patterns are traditional but jazzed up with Monique's sense of style. This book is suitable for a beginner or anyone who loves making traditional quilts but is looking for a little change of pace. These patterns will look great using any style of fabric. You can't beat the price for the quality of the colored illustrations and finished quilts and for the quantity of projects. A perfect companion to Monique's first book, Fat Quarter Winners, and a wonderful addition to any quilter's library. I have made Pyramid and love it, Golf is next on my list.

I got this on my kindle fire and I like the idea that I can look at patterns and get ideas when I am away from my books at home. Also it is cheaper to come up with great ideas with a fat quarter. You can buy a fat quarter and not feel guilty. Then you have a chance to use them.
