Avoid the current Kindle version of this.
No annotations showing on my Kindle. Also the introduction appears to be a draft rather than a finished piece. I decided to invest in The Oxford Shakespeare version (on paper) - very pleased with this! Otherwise I do love my Kindle and use it every day.

Great companion or stand alone
Great companion to the Arden (or your favourite modern text). A very useful tool for the actor for stage performance and/or scene study.

Two Stars

Meh Shakespeare but Worth the Read
The scholars are correct, this is middling Shakespeare, and the Fallstaff character could be just another portly befuddled villain. That said, if you read Shakespeare, then don't miss this. There are a few interesting aspects to the play (no spoilers). I read this Pelican version, and I usually pick Pelican for my Shakespeare reading. I find the formatting easier/less distracting than the Folger or other publishers.
