Pharm has written a very useable and most helpful introduction to Echo Dot.This is by far the best I have ever read of these manuals.It will help you through the setup of Echo Dot and beyond.Clearly written and each topic needed easily found from the contents. Just click on it and you are there.Again, this is the most clearly and carefully written help ever. No words are wasted on extraneous things.He stays right on topic - what is needed. I'm still learning what Dot can do and still refer to different sections of this book as needed.I give this the highest and best recommendation I can give.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product!!!! I simply cannot believe that there is this kind of technology available for such a low price! I tell everyone that I have a new roommate named Alexia. I talk to her all of the time. She's so intelligent and informative about almost any subject you want to throw at her. I have a friend who has Sierra on her Ipad. Her son once asked Sierra where was the best place to hide a body and she said "in a cave". I asked my Alexia the same question and she said "call the police". Told my friend that Alexia has better morals than Sierra! LOL

The manual helped me get thru 80% of the set up (63 year old non-techie) my 25 year old nephew got me thru the last 20%My Echo Dot is now up and running and both myself and my spouse are having a blast with it!

So often books telling you how to do things are written by people that are professionals and have no clue as how to speak to someone that has no clue. I wish they would step back and realize the terminology they are using is not understandable to a person that is not already a professional on how to use the machine. Simplify what you are saying as if you are writing to someone that has never seen much less used the item before.In other words it was over my head and I turned to my sister to help me learn the basics.

I use this for all things! Especially for the weather forecasts in the morning. And for news flashbriefings. Its great!

I was hoping for more "meat" to give me more ideas of ways to use it, like a list of Alexa commands and questions, and other things out is capable of. This is the basic of basic, and really won't provide you with much beyond the initial set up.

Really like this device. Highly recommend it. I just love the convenience of instantly getting information especially weather and being able to listen to all genres of music instantly amongst other conveniences that help make life a little more enjoyable. Was not sure of how much I would use it and how to use it when I purchased it. Set up of the device was very very easy, I'm glad I made this purchase now that I have it.

I love the Dot..Each a.m I listen to my briefing before I get out of bed. Every day I use alarm, reminders, listen to music. I have Dot do some math. spell words. My two daughters have Dot, we talk it is clearer than phone, we also send messages and also has Dot add appointments on my phone calendar. I could list more...I love it, plus the sound is o.k. when I play music...Bye
