Will this do a good job on 100% cotton dress shirts that say cool iron only?

Absolutely, since this iron is cool except for the steam, it still irons out all the wrinkles. It takes regular tap water, and I keep a bottle handy because it goes through a lot of water. I keep the steam on all the time, it is what takes out the wrinkles. I use this iron a lot!

the 3261 can I change the temperature?

No you can't change the temperature. I really love this iron no setting ,no matter what your fabric is it will not burn . You can can iron a silk blouse or satin the temperature go alone with what ever fabric you use.

Disappointed

Not working as expected. When plugged, a foul smell of burnt wire comes and some sound “poc-poc” . I’m not using it being afraid of not causing short cut of electricity. And is not ironing as described, when I’ve tried it first time. Waste of money
