Optex MX40PI 40 x 40 PIR/Microwave with Pet Immunity

Quick review:We just had an alarm system upgrade and the whole system was replaced. I told the installer and company installing the alarm I didn't want any false alarms via motion sensor!! Well 3 false alerts later all via the motion sensor I looked into a replacement motion sensor myself and I found this model with dual detect.My installer came out swap out his garbage with the Optex MX40PI and now we just had to wait and see if this motion sensor would trigger any false alarms..... 3 months later no issues, no false alarms and works like a champ. We have cats and 2 of them are larger size and like to run around like crazy in the house and no issues, so we are very happy with this unit !!So if your having the same issue I was with the cheap motion sensors installed, replace them with these Optex MX40PI and you will be happy campers. No more false alarms :)

Do not purchase this product if you have 2.4ghz wireless networks, Bluetooth, z-wave or zigbee home automation equipment. The microwave frequency is set at 2.4ghz. Most microwave motion detectors operate in the 40ghz (q-band) or 24ghz (k-band) ranges and do not interfere. This will shut down every network in your home or business. Amazon - you may want to note this in the product information.Product seems sound other than the radio interference. (still have to return it)

I purchased three of these to be used with my home automation/alarm system as I had a cheap 20 dollar pir that my cat would trip all the time while at work. I installed these devices and no more false alarms. The home automation works flawless, even if I have to wave my arms around to tip it. I can live with that.
