I purchased this as a gift for my brother. I wasn't sure about it because I had never seen this unusual instrument before, but my brother was not only pleased, but he was very knowledgeable about how to use it.

It's a good instrument but keep glue on hand because the rubber balls on the sticks will pop off.

This is a beautiful drum with a wonderful and rich sound….which you cannot get from using your hands. I found this out because the drum I received had no mallets of any kind, no stand for the mallets, and no music book. The package only had the black drum, braided band for the sides of the drum (which is purely cosmetic), and the case. This may have been because it was a “Used - Like New” product for over $30 off the original price, but it only listed that it wouldn’t come in original packaging sooooo I didn’t expect it to also be missing pieces. Despite it lacking most of the items displayed in the listing, I will keep it because of the following reasons:*It is visually pleasing*The sound is nice if you actually have a mallet. I tried a cloth mallet because that is all I had access to at the moment. Looks like this is supposed to come with rubber mallets.*While the 15 notes makes it harder to play an actual song well if you are beginner, you have more flexibility to grow into the drum as you get better*The tone is so peaceful that even improvisational playing sounds nice.*The bag feels very sturdy and has a side pocket on the outside. Not sure if it could fit the mallets in it though, so you might need to carry those separately.Although I like the sound of this tongue drum, I can’t fully recommend this model as I don’t know the quality of all items included in the set since I didn’t receive many of them.

It plays great, the details are beautiful, worth it.

I used this product for music. It was so far out of tune that it was too difficult to get it tuned properly.
