The feed shoot is not large. I have owned many juicers, some with large feed shoes. I don't consider the size of the shoot to be a factor. This juicer is positively the finest juicer I have ever used. Honestly, it is unbelievable. It produces very high-quality juice and is very quick and easy to clean. You may have to cut your produce into smaller segments, but this really only takes a few minutes more. The machine produces such a high-yield, you do not need to prep as much produce as with a centrifugal juicer. I hope this helps, feel free to ask any further questions. I just bought mine and after i use it, i notice a lot of excess under the squeezing screw. It gets caught under there. Is that normal?

Yes that is very normal. Especially with stringy vegetables and carrots. Remember the machine is squeezing vs chopping and extracting
