I bought these because I cut my daughter's bags myself and with the other scissors I have if I ever touched her forehead she would wince. She's super sensitive and I think it was more the fear of being cut than the feeling but I can understand being afraid of the sharp end of the hair scissors! When I got these I touched them to my forehead first and they were good so I ran them across my skin is different places and they didn't hurt at all. Then I had her hold her arm out and showed her they didn't hurt. She was pleased so I showed her on her forehead before I started cutting so she would be relaxed and it worked! She didn't wince or pull away at all. Besides very sharp and offering a good cut these safety scissors work very well for young children afraid of scissors close to their head. Worth the money.

These are comfortable in the hand. My 4yo is scared for me to cut his hair because he’s afraid to get cut (why??) so I searched specifically for round tip to keep from accidentally poking during his cuts. These work wonderfully. Super sharp, safe, come in a molded box and have a vinyl sleeve and suede to wipe them off. I love that the shears can be taken apart to clean and tightened down with the screw button. The little red thing popped off one pair but that’s not a functional issue. I have both the regular shears and the thinning shears.
