De'Longhi CGH1030D Livenza All-Day Grill, Griddle and Waffle Maker Silver Large

I don't use the flat griddle plates, and only care about the panini press function of this machine, and it's MAGNIFICENT! This machine is a major upgrade over the little plastic panini presses out there. With this unit I'm able to make two large paninis (5 inch x 9 inch bread) at the same time. The top grill plate is heavy and presses the sandwich properly to create a nice crust on the bread. The grill shape is perfect, with straight lines that press into the bread. I set the machine at 375 degrees and set the timer for 3 minutes. Comes out perfect every time, with a nice crust outside and melted cheese inside. The bread should be brushed or sprayed with olive oil. Amazon sells olive oil spray bottles. Pesto spread, mozzarella cheese, and prosciutto ham, is marvelous. It's a larger unit, so I keep it on a side counter in the kitchen, and it looks nice too. But the performance and taste is most important, and this makes excellent panini sandwiches. Worth the extra cost if you enjoy perfect paninis, and the ability to make two sandwiches at once.

Over the years I have moved from George Foreman (great at the time), to a Griddler (hated it- not sure if it was a lemon but I did not have a single positive experience with this appliance), to a Breville panini press (my beloved, found it a thrift store). It was time to upgrade and this seemed like the best (although a bit extravagantly priced) option. It has not disappointed. I use it often enough to have a dedicated space on my countertop for it. It is large but it is handy having such a large cooking surface. It heats fast and every (although sometimes it seems like the bottom plate is not as a hot as the top even if they are set to the same temp. The plates are sturdy and nice. It is a beautiful machine. I have cooked waffles, hash browns, steaks, quesadillas, grilled chicken, eggs, pancakes and many other things and the results are always great... and it is easy to clean and operate. Handy gadget. I am not a Vine reviewer- although I wish I was. This would've been an amazing to score for free.

We're using this appliance almost every day! I started looking for a waffle maker, but I was not happy with the plastic parts and loose-feeling hinges. The interchangeable plates are super easy to clean, if challenging to store. The settings are easy to use, and switching from standard to panini to double-griddle configurations is simple to figure out. The elements heat more quickly than I expected, which is a welcome time saver in dinner prep! The heating has been very even, resulting in perfectly cooked waffles/chicken/bacon/etc. The grill does take up a fair amount of counter space, but it looks good doing it. I'm so glad I made the investment--the quality of this appliance means we're sure to get a lot of use, for years to come.

Best thing ever. My wife wanted to buy it and I was very sceptical about it. But when we started using it it cooks everything so good that we don’t need our gas grill at the balcony. 300% recommend to buy this grill. Not a game changer and you could live without it, but it makes a huge difference, cooks everything fast and juicy so if you’re debating, I would give it a try!

Normalmente preparaba hotcakes en la plancha de la estufa. Tenia ganas de hacer waffles pero no podia justificar el espacio de un aparato para usarlo una o máximo dos veces por semana. Una vez que te acostumbras hacer los waffles es una tarea de 8 minutos, enciendes el aparato para que se caliente, preparas la mezcla con ~140g de harina y una vez que suena la alarma. Pones la mezcla y esperas 4 minutos. Siempre salen bien. La plancha sirve muy bien para preparar carne, pescado y camarones. Me espero que las personas ya estén en la mesa para comer ya que para asar se tarda entre 5 y 7 minutos. Con un poco de aceite en spray no se pega nada. Y lavar las parrillas es muy sencillo.

A local food truck opened up in my town and they make the best paninis! The first week they were opened I bought a panini every other day and therefore spent a decent amount of money (likely a third of the price of this grill/panini press)! Because of this I began my hunt for a panini press that would (hopefully) last a lifetime. So many things are made cheaply and break so fast these days I spent about another week looking up quality panini presses, all the while NOT getting to enjoy that food trucks panini because I didn’t want to spend even more money while I was looking at presses. After some time I found this lovely press. The reviews were more positive then other brands then I was considering so I put it in my cart and slept on it. Lucky me, the next day it actually went on sale! I had to snatch it up so I did. I received my package and everything is in working order. However, as a side note, Amazon… you did not need to use your own box to send because it was already in a box… just a waste of resources. Also, I should add the box Amazon sent it in was like 30-40% bigger then the box itself so I was concerned it would ruin the press. The press is beautifully crafted and feels like a very good quality item. Ours came with the waffle pieces too which was a pleasant surprise. I will likely just wash everything by hand to ensure it lasts a long time. The package does say it is dishwasher safe but the plates feel like teflon or some sort of non stick coating and after research I have learned it is not recommended to put them in a dishwasher because it can ruin the coating - just a little side note. Thankfully the packaging was not damaged and I have just finished making 3 paninis for my fiancé and I. One for ourselves and one to share. I see many delicious paninis in our future. 10/10 recommend!
