This little device is worth every penny. The AVIC 5200NEX line is notorious for its LCD problems which make it impossible sometimes to enter the password after a reset. This problem causes you to have to removed the entire unit and send it to Panasonic at your own expense AND if you're unlucky enough to be out of warranty it'll cost you "a lot of money" to fix.This remote allows me to enter that password so that I can recalibrate the screen and go back to business as usually without having to be months without entertainment, without having to uninstall the entire head unit, and without costing me any more money!So glad I found this.

While this remote WOULD'VE worked for my AVIC-8200NEX I received the wrong one. Submitting my return now...

all buttons do not work with my Pioneer AVIC-5200 Nex.
