MIYABIKnife Block Set

Very sharp, well balanced knives with excellent finish

I did a lot of research comparing Shun and Miyabi Global and MAC. Found these to be reasonably priced for SG2 steel and look very nice. Reasonably sharp out of the box and I like the balance and feel of the handles.These are very good quality with great aesthetics which is what I wanted. If you want absolute best quality go with a small maker and forget about a matching set. If you want absolute best quality and the aesthetics of these knives you will pay much more.All in all I am happy with the purchase but wont be using either the shears or the hone in favor of a ceramic hone and better quality shears. I Think the block is ok but you can’t put more knives with longer blades in it. These are why the 4 stars

Great knives so far. Razor sharp. I got them open box for a great deal. I hope they last.

The knives are perfectly fine - sharp and handy; this is expected of a set of knives that cost $1,000+.What was disappointing is sloppy packaging and overall bad experience. We bought the set as a gift and expected that the packaging would match the price. Unfortunately, the packaging was mediocre at best as the cardboard wrap sealing the box was all worn out/damaged with office/packaging tape used to fix it sloppily. It looked like we received a used item instead of a new one we bought.The knives were inside a smaller white cardboard box, packaged in safe protective plastic. However, they were loose and unattached to the box, so after opening the box, it looked like someone just threw a bunch of knives inside and shipped it in a rush.Finally, the registration process just didn't work either from a phone or a computer. Warranty activation didn't go through as the barcode on the box couldn't be recognized, and entering it or the item name in different variations didn't work either.Overall, the knives are fine, but the experience was frustrating. It is also embarrassing when you buy something as a gift, and it looks like a used good.

Too much expensive and I really not recommend this brand I am really good sharpening and this ones lost the sharp edge really fast you can try a Yoshihiro is do you like crazy sharp and razor blade

Sharper than sharp. Excellent quality all the way around. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
