Super easy to use
I drop the test in the mail office one friday and I get the results at the app 10 days later, I am very happy with this method (through Amazon), also they app is very helpful with healthy tips and recommendations, also you can use the second test later as you needed or wanted no matter that they recommended you to re-test in one or two more weeks, definitely I will buy it again, 100% recommendable.

Never got results
I never got results. I am requesting a refund. They are also VERY unclear on when you will receive results. One place says 7 days, one says 1-2 weeks, and someone that works there told me in a message that it was 7-14 business days. Super annoyed I wasted so much money and time waiting. My husband also sent his and hasn’t received his results. If we ever get them, I can update if it is even accurate because my husband had a blood draw the same day and labcorp tested his levels there. Anyway, don’t waste your money!!

Painful and personal.
I actually got this kit in the hopes 2 in our family could test our Vitamin D levels as it's winter here in the Northeast and I've heard higher Vitamin D can help your immunity. Turns out it's supposed to be used by one person, two weeks apart on tests, while using a Vitamin D supplement from this brand. I assume you can use any Vitamin D though.I open the kit and read the directions. I need to download an app for it. After I installed this app it wouldn't let me go any further to register a test until I gave it personal information including name, birthday, sex, email, and questions about my exercise, sleep, supplements, drinking, smoking, etc. I wouldn't think this should be necessary to take the test and get results. I understand that it is a good supplement to the test to better understand where you might have health issues affecting your immunity, but I feel it should be optional. It was a little confusing to find out where to register the test but eventually I figured out you click on the person on the upper right on the page where it gives you your health assessment.I follow the steps to test. They provide about double the tools you need in each kit and each kit is enclosed in separate bags. I didn't know how to use the lancet at first but it's really quite simple. You twist off the narrow side then push it onto your fingertip and it pierces you. It is painful, not going to lie. I had to use lancets before and I was able to adjust the amount the needle went in so that it was less painful. I'm definitely not looking forward to using these again. It also made my finger sore for several hours afterwards. I had a difficult time getting a droplet to drop onto the circle, but I think I managed to give enough blood as I certainly wasn't going to pierce another finger. It comes with a pre-paid envelope to mail it out with.I'm writing before I receive my results, and it's not like I could testify to how accurate the results are anyway as I'm not getting lab work done at the same time. Most insurances will cover testing your D levels if you doctor requests the lab, however you'd have to go in and get your blood drawn. That intimidates some people, but the lancet intimidates me just as much. However, I know some doctors can be resistant to ordering D labs, so this is at least one way to get it and amazingly you can order this in New York state as a lot of health testing you cannot. Some people might find these at home tests preferable to going to the doctor and it certainly has it's value. I just think they shouldn't require as much personal information, and I wish the lancet wasn't so painful.

Very important and inexpensive
The public affordability of general blood testing for (25(OH)D) is about 10 years old. I was absolutely gobsmacked that I was low on the 'sunshine' vitamin. I live in the sun for gosh sakes. I drink D3 milk ... I eat fish, I take fish oil.One of the medical mysteries is why the skin organ produces 100,000x the understood demands of the body. How can it be that the skin organ overproduces at this level? There is not a current understanding of why. The reason for the huge overproduction by the skin remains a mystery. Like everything, there must be a reason.(25(OH)D) can be measured in the bloodstream and only recently that an economic test was discovered. Between the skin organ and the bloodstream, something is robbing or consuming the vast body production body of D3.This test requires 3 blood drops. Why 3? The test itself is statistically an avg of 3.The main purpose of the test for me is to quantitatively determine that my D3 supplementation is accomplishing a normative outcome.Ricketts was a terrible D3 deficiency. D3 deficits are being found to contribute to a broad range of minor to deadly conditions. It's simply not worth not checking how I'm doing.

Not Accurate
I've done two tests so far. First one came back "insuffient" and they weren't able to provide levels. Second test came back with a result of 31ng/ml. Out of curiosity I had a Vitamin D test done through my doctor and the results came back 37ng/ml. I would personally not trust this test.

Very easy- came with everything needed
Mine came with two postage paid envelopes that were pre-addressed. All I had to do was collect one blood spot on a lab card, tuck it down into the provided Zip to seal bag, and then put that in the envelope and mail it. One problem that I didn't have was that the app would not work for me. I downloaded it and set up an account but it wouldn't let me in until I verified my email address. I never did get anything to verify my email address with. I simply went to the labs website and set up an account there instead. I registered my test kit there and they had all the information I needed in video form to walk me through doing the test. (After registering on the website, I think the problem was maybe because I was using repeating letters in my password, and I don't think the app was giving me an error back, it was just not really doing anything.). I tried setting up an account several times but never got the verification email and it never seemed to keep my username on file either. For me the app was useless, but the website worked fine. I really like that I did not have to bleed a lot for this particular test, and that it could go in the regular mail. I did not have to make a special trip into the UPS store or post office. I will update this when my results come in!
