Works as well as topical tick & flea preventive. No toxic chemical is my No1 reason for using it.
**update after 1 year of use** : my dog attracted Lyme disease. I regret using natural product like this one. 1. you need to spray your dog with it every time they go out. 2. it does not kill ticks so any attachment of ticks that last more than 24 hours will expose your dog to Lyme. I no longer use this product and use Advantix II instead. It is no joke getting Lyme disease, my dog was sore at all joints and couldn't even walk. It was sad to see. Thank God Doxycycline works for my dog, but she continues to test positive for Lyme even she does not show any symptoms. Lyme bacteria is very hard to kill entirely. So whenever your dog is sick and immune system is down, the Lyme can make a come back. Again, don't buy this product and think you can get rid of ticks. It is useless against ticks. I really hate the smell - it is very strong when first applied, and it lingers for hours. I believe my dog hates it more as their noses are more sensitive. My dog always makes a run for it when I spray her down. Another downside is that you need to spray your dogs with it frequently, like daily. On the label, it says "use as needed for ongoing protection", and "safe for daily use". So, basically the manufacturer did not provide any evidence regarding how long the protection lasts after each use. As for the effectiveness, this product does drive away fleas. I saw with my own eyes that a flea jumped for its dear life after I sprayed and fluffed my dog's coat. The manufacturer said it kills fleas, flea eggs, and larvae, so I would trust that and you should change all beddings, covers, or anything you can throw into the washing machine if you spot a flea issue. Then continue to spray your dog with the product and any furniture they encounter for good measure. After all, you won't be able to see flea eggs and they are the root cause that your flea problem persists despite all efforts of eliminating adult fleas. As for ticks, I think this product is just as effective as topical tick prevention. First, most oral tick prevention requires the ticks to bite so they can die within 24 hours which is not enough time for them to transmit Lyme disease. Most topical tick prevention contains permethrin so it will prevent and repel tick attachment, but it is not 100%. I suspect the cedar oil smell in Wondercide will repel tick attachment, because I have never found a tick after using the spray that day (but not next day). But I am not 100% sure how cedar oil works on ticks. More science needed to be done. All I know is that ticks are harder to kill than fleas, but most diseases require the tick to attach for more than 48 hours. In other words, finding a slightly engorged (and likely dying) tick on your dog is mostly likely fine as it takes time for them to transmit disease. Anyway, I guess what I am trying to say is that ticks prevention is harder to achieve with Wondercide, but it gives similar level of protection as compared to oral or topical treatment, without the harsh chemicals. As of now, Nov 2023, I was not able to find any better solutions than Wondercide for my dog. Cedar oil seems to be the least toxic solution so I am going to stick with it until something better comes along.

trusted brand, love the peppermint, deters skeeters, but spray evenly
5 stars because I really like the scent, it doesnt give me a headache, it is a trusted brand (I use their lawn treatment), and that there are different scent offerings. I find that mosquitos seem to hate peppermint, so I went with the peppermint offering. I love that I can spray this all over and it smells good and fresh. I use it on myself, my clothing, area around me that I am sitting outside. As with any essential oil based bug deterrent, it may not last as long as you like. Also it takes a good spray down to make sure pesky mosquito's dont find the one tiny spot you may have left uncovered. Permethrin and DEET will always work best. But I dont want that on my body every day, and I dont want my pets near it. I save that stuff for hiking or deep woods working. But for casual go out side and hang out or play with my dogs? Wondercide is as safe and relatively effective option. Not perfect, but I do recommend. I havent used it on my cats. I normally dont use it on my dogs either, but I have dabbed some on their fur when the mosquitos are being extra obnoxious. We dont have fleas or anything really to address inside, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this on bedding, couches, curtains, etc if need be. My only buy issues is that of mosquitos. All else I pretty much give a pass to. I dont mind no see ums, spiders. I rarely get ants but that is probably because I dont keep things sitting out that attracts them. This Peppermint formula is probably my favorite. Fresh and doesnt trigger a headache. I like the smell of cedar, but it can trigger a headache on me. I know that cedar works extremely well, and so I expected to see as the main part of the formula (and it is), yet the other essential oils added in take over the cedar aroma and I havent had a any headaches from this. Has enough other ingredients to help it stay on skin and clothes and not immediately dissipate-- helps give it longevity. There ARE other products of similar nature on the market. I have bought a few to try. I keep coming back to Wondercide. I bought the 32 ounce container. I suggest going with biggest you can afford.

Good
Good product but the sprayer didn’t work on this one. When we noticed our dog had a flea on her, I bought every product you can think of lol. I got this and (swapped out the sprayer) and then sprayed it on all cushions and rugs (I was paranoid a flea would get on our stuff lol) and I think it worked? Not sure if we even had any fleas lol but I sprayed it just incase. The smell is rosemary which also works for other pests I hear.

Best pest control for pets, home, and person.
Wonderside: I wonder how I ever got along without this by my side. Wonderside. The best flea control, and killer. It, also, kills flies, as well as fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. Just a light spray on my pet stopped their scratching for weeks. My yard has dozens of stray cats going through it, so therefore, my yard has fleas. I just spray this skin safe spray lightly on my pant legs (bare legs in summer), and no more fleas being brought into my home. The spray bottle fits nicely in my hand for the trigger spray. There is no artificial color, so no staining furniture or clothing. Great value for the money. I keep this on hand all the time, and go through it like crazy during warmer weather. The fragrance is nice with the cedarwood being the most dominant of them all. Can't go wrong with this pest control.
