I've ordered the other side; large, but haven't received it yet. This one was surprisingly small! Too small for my small cat that weighs only 6 lbs. He he's not able to turn around in there and it's just too small. He'd end up doing his business on the sides. I still think it's a good box especially for kittens. I ordered next size up which is large. Oddly there's no medium. My cat is Senior now, 19... so jumping up onto my top entry one is getting too hard. The little step will hopefully help him.

It took a while to get the latches connected but don't use too much pressure, they will break. There are no instructions at all so I resorted to the video on Amazon and finally figured it out. There is no mention of the steps latch, it is the piece left over after you assemble the box. It slides down the insides of the opening and stops on top of the steps. The top of my box has a filter, not an opening. I am glad. I prefer the filter. No instructions how to replace it or clean it but I will figure it out. It's easy to clean and if it gets too smelly I can put it in the tub/shower (once the litter is removed) and hose it out. The best part is that box fits perfectly between our toilet base and the sink cabinet. The steps are a cute feature but cats can get in and out with out steps. All in all I am pleased with it.

The door only opens to get in they have to use the open top to get out. Would buy one that doesn't have a opening on top and just a door next time.

I bought this for kittens so it works but I have a bigger cat that cannot even fit inside this litter box. Beware when buying if you have an adult cat that is a little more chunky then they will not fit.

It works to keep my cat from urinating out of the box, but it is definitely on the small side. If it was just a little wider it would be perfect.

This is a nice little box that works well for my kitty, who is a back-shooter when it comes to urinating...it makes him hunker down, and so his pee doesn't go back, but rather down. Who knew? I use the elastic liners, and it's the neatest this whole litter situation has been. I WILL say, however, that on our cross-country trip he frequently was able to knock the top off of the box, which was weird. My only complaint is that the top doesn't really snap into place (at least not with a liner) and I'm surprised to see that I'm being asked to rate the "Lock Feature." Maybe I'm missing something? Anyhow. A good box for Medium-sized cats. He is 12 pounds. The hole in the top helps...he likes to poke his head out of that while he's doing his business.

my cat is really tiny and shes elderly so this box works great for her. she shoots litter everywhere. and i mean literally shoots it places. its like she is scooping it out and throwing it across the room. i was getting so tired of vacuuming up pounds of litter. this kinda? prevents it? i had to but a litter mat to trap the excess but overall love it!

Nice litter box but small only good for a small room & one cat.
