Missing pieces and has been used
I did not expect to pay 14 dollars for a game that has been used and it also is missing a piece.

Very cute game, skewed very young even though the movie is a little more grownup, missed opportunity
The thing about "Elf" is that it looks in part like a Rankin/Bass special but it is actually a rather sophisticated satirical comedy that, while some parents might feel it is fine for little kids, it's more edgy in places. That's saying a lot when movies can be much more edgy than "Elf," I know, but with the sheer number of holiday movies and specials to watch, older kids can appreciate the humor and references better at a more advanced age. But every child is different and parents can make their own choice.I bring this up only because this game is very young chidlren, which is surprising because the makers could have taken more advantage of how fans of the film would have loved all the references they could have made specifically to the movie (Buddy's sweet spaghetti, catch phrases like "Smiling's my favorite,' etc) and had a game that older kids and adults might have liked better. It seems more that the makers, either through "resarch" or simply cursory knowledge of the film, decided to make only light reference to the movie. That's okay, one need not know the movie to enjoy the game, but why pay for the rights and not take the opportunity?

Fun game, could use better quality control
This comes with 4 buddy game pieces, a dice, and playing board. The game is fun, a mix of candy land and shoots n ladders but without all the cards to pick off a pile.My 6 year old had fun playing this but my 2 year old preferred to set up and tear down and hoard all the pieces rather than play.Buddy was all but cut off from some of the play pieces, not centered at all, and after the first time playing at least one game piece started peeling. The die is red with gold print which is VERY hard to read. I had to use a marker to make the numbers legible in normal lighting.Fun game but could use some improvements.
