I guess it would be okay for making almost spherical ice cubes. However, the description said it makes perfect spheres. They aren't even close. Both halves have slightly different sized diameters. As a physicist and mathematician I find this extremely annoying, but if you just want to keep your drinks cool then I guess it works.
