Packaging could be better. The thin layer of plastic did not stop the receiver end from getting scraped up during shipping. Kinda funny because its the only part of the hitch that you can see once its installed on the car. A little cardboard on the end would have done the trick.Installed on a 2013 Audi Q5. All and all it went in pretty easy but an extra set of hands when putting the bumper back on would have helped. My Q5 has a removable panel that I cut out an opening for the hitch and put the panel back on. I didn't like the thought of having such a large opening to let in dirt and I think it looks more finished.Really pleased with the how solid the mounting is and it really looks good on the car.

It's my first time to buy a large automotive component on Amazon.com, and it paid back well. Amazon's system to reminder user on car model does help a lot to avoid purchasing the wrong part.

This bolt on hitch receiver installed very easily and looks like a factory install on my 2016 Audi SQ5. No drilling required - although I did use an oscillating tool to modify the small hitch cover on the underside of the bumper to trim out the receiver even better than a factory install.A few install tips... No need to unplug the wiring harness from the bumper! Just use the box that the hitch receiver comes in as a shelf to rest the bumper on over on the passenger side of the vehicle as you install the receiver. Makes the install even quicker. Also - the torque rating for the hitch receiver 16mm bolts is not clear. At least for the SQ5, the bolts are a 10.9 class bolt (part number N10012402) with a MAX dry torque of 53 ft-lbs. Audi specification for those is 44 ft-lbs, which is what I torqued them to.

This was even easier to install than I expected, and it looks and works great. I'm not sure what the issue was for the other reviewer who complained of the hitch receiver not coming with bolts, since the hitch for my Audi Q5 used the existing bolts holding on the bumper. The only difficult/nerve-wracking part of the installation was cutting the bumper to fit the hitch (mine didn't have a portion that popped out, though the installation instructions suggested some do). The installation instructions were easy to follow, and even included a picture of each step. The only thing I would suggest is that it come with a template for cutting the bumper; I didn't have any issues, and it came out looking very nice, but a template may have eased my anxiety a little.I have used this hitch receiver several times now, and it works great. It feels solid, and I have no concerns about failure. I haven't hauled anything nearing the 5,000 lb capacity yet, but so far, so good.

My boyfriend installed it and did a phenomenal job. He said the design was awesome. The price was great and it worked like a charm. My dealership wanted $2200 to install one. Buy this instead.

Installed it this morning on a 2013 Q5. Hauled a small trail motorcycle (165 lbs) on a hitch mount carrier into the Colorado mountains this afternoon via winding, often bumpy and unpaved, roads. I've been home a couple of hours and am impressed as heck. Took 2.5 hours. Looks identical to the one sold and installed (for a small fortune) by the dealership. Be sure to watch the installation video -- search for "Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Audi Q5 - Draw-Tite " (installation is the same for the 2008-2017 model years). For those wondering about missing hardware, there isn't any. This slides in and replaces the vehicle's aluminum bumper. You re-use the OEM bolts. Very happy!BTW, mine didn't come with instructions (or I lost them). The torque setting for the bolts securing the hitch to your Q5 is 44 lbs-ft.

The hitch didn't come with directions, but I found them online. I was able to complete the install in about 2 hours, with only one unexpected issue that wasn't well explained in directions. Also, the torque values for the main bumper bolts seems too high.

I purchased this receiver as it is a direct fitment and almost identical to the OEM one. The build is good and seems to be a direct fit, unfortunately after reading the owner guide, it clearly states "Weight Distribution: Do Not Use", so beware of this.

Install was straightforward except that the dimensions for the cutout were a little off. Had to trim beyond the dimensions in the instructions to get a proper fit.

its quite heavy, wish they make a tough and light materials.
