They were thick mats, so it took them overnight to dry thoroughly, but they came out looking wonderful and as close to new as 13 year old mats can. They weren’t stained, just a little regular dirt, but a lot of funky, nasty smell, so I can’t address if it gets out bad stains. We drove 3 1/2 hour the next day in the car to the dealership to buy a new car and sell it. It smelled great during the trip. This is great stuff. I wouldn’t be afraid to try it on any carpet stain. I’m not sure if it would get out a bad stain, but I’m pretty sure it won’t do any damage and at the very least will leave it generally clean and fresh.
