Got these to replace my hinges that gave out. These where half the price of the more expensive options, and it shows in the sturdiness / build. That said as of now (it's been installed about a moth ago) they are doing there job very well. I was replacing the same kind of hinge, so I just had it put in the same screw holes.Would I get these again? Not sure - it might be worth paying more (even x2) to get a more solid feeling hinge, especially if it's on a kitchen cabinet or the like that would get real use (not to mention kids...)

These hinges are exceptionally robust and excellent in supporting doors with heavy loads or large size spans. We created a 4ft wide by 4.5ft tall door for our Flat Screen TV and our R.W.FLAME 42IN Recessed Fireplace. Using 5 of these hinges, allowed a strong hinging point to open and close these two pieces while hanging on the door of our entertainment center.

You may be wondering if these are a good replacement for a MEPLA 664.261.53.00 hinge. I Googled and couldn't find an answer, so I ordered 4 of these willing to replace all 4 hinges even though only 2 were broken. As it turns out, Amazon sent one pair wrong, so I ended up using only 2 of them. So, will it replace a MEPLA 664.261.53.00? Yes, especially if you replace all of the hinges on the door. In my case, since I only had 2 of the right hinges to work with. I had to make some modifications because the setback on the cabinet side (the cup in the door obviously can't be moved, but is the same as MEPLA) to make them match the existing hinges, but it worked. You will have to drill new holes for both the cabinet and door, but I appreciate that the cabinet mount is stamped plate steel instead of cast metal on the MEPLA, and that it has 4 screws. The 2 screw cast metal mounting plate on the MEPLA was the fail point. Again, if you're replacing all the hinges, just follow their directions. All of the new screws will be in a different place from the old screw holes, so you'll have fresh wood to screw into. Overall, they seem like a good solid hinge.

First thing, you must make sure you order the correct overlay. I ordered the half overlay first and it worked fine for replacing the center door of a three door cabinet, but when I attempted to replace the left and right door hinges, I discovered that the doors hit and I needed the full overlay hinges.As noted, these are perfect replacements for the IREX hinges found on many cabinets. However, they are better made. The hinge pins used are of a better quality and these hinges come with a dampening piston standard so they auto close and do so slowly and quietly. They are made in China but are of very high quality. You will not be disappointed.

Got these for an old bathroom mirror. Quick and easy to install, took maybe 2 min.

You might have to re-drill some holes to make hinges fit

Delivery was 48 hours and that is without Prime. Well packaged and the 2x sets I ordered were installed and set up on my two corner base doors in 20 minutes. They come with standard countersunk wood screws to fix to the side panels, however I had the stumpy screws already installed on my old hinge bracket so just swapped them over onto the these new brackets with no hassle. Adjustment was minimal and the two doors only need to be closed just over half way and the hinges do the rest to close them fully. In fact from fully open you only have to flick them quickly to over halfway of travel, walk away frpom them and you can guarantee they will have closed.Excellent purchase and I am now looking to purchase the same make for a corner cupboard door. I recommend these hinges.

Changed the kitchen base unit door hinges after 31 years. Let's hope the new ones last as long.

I did not have any issues replacing a failed hinge as the dimensions of the new hinge matched perfectly. However, I had to replace the entire old assembly, as the detachable part of the hinge was of a different design. I find the price a bit high, otherwise it's fine.
