Kitchen Grips 2 Piece Short Handle Set, Cherry/Black

Great product! Very handy for a variety of uses, and dishwasher safe, too! I've been scouring retail stores for years for the mitt version of this material, at first to find more like the ones I'd liked and been using so much, and later because after many years of use I'd become increasingly concerned I wouldn't be able to ever find replacements if that became necessary. I'd searched Amazon several times over the years without success too, but finally scrolled Google images of pot holders, saw the Kitchen Grips, and located on Amazon not only the mitt pot holders I'd been searching for, but also these excellent short grips, too. Great for Le Creuset Dutch oven handles and lids, and also most other short handles and lids on cookware and ovenware, also great for removing hot plates, bowls and measuring cups from the microwave. I feel a sense of being able to get a surer grip on things with holders made of this type material than I have with conventional, quilted fabrics, or silicone holders. It would be nice, however, if there were a slightly larger size version of these short grips, as well, that would more easily accommodate people with extraordinarily large hands like my husband--he can use these, too, but would be more comfortable using a slightly larger version, I'm sure. I'd bought 2 pairs (4) of these short grips to start with and 2 of the Kitchen Grips full mitts, but I'll certainly be stocking up on these now that I've finally found them again! They are an excellent value, besides being excellent products.

I had a set of these for 12-20 years. Recently, one of the pair became damaged and so I bought this new set. They are so small, they look like there's no way--but there is: I use in oven constantly. They grip well, and are made of a material that blocks the heat 100%. In all my years, I did not have one issue, not one mishap.

I'm a bit clumsy with large potholders--especially when trying to grab smaller or shallower items. I find the kitchen grips very useful for grabbing the sides of hot bowls or plates after microwaving. This is my second set (I misplaced the first when I moved and I sorely missed them).

I bought these for my pot handles and lids. No more clumsy awkward fabric potholder that slip and become hazardous.

Bought this a year after we needed it. Glad we got it and so far it has works reasonably well. I don’t recommend leaving the holder on while you are cooking. Only use as needed.

I wanted something for hot lid knobs. I have larger ones for my pot side handles. But my staub dutch oven lid knob gets quite hot. It’s round and some reviewers said this won’t work for round knobs. It does for me. True, it’s not really made for grabbing a round knob, but I make it work just fine. You just slip one side of gripper over one side of the round knob and then cover the other side of the round knob with other side of gripper. Grabs it pretty easily to me. I can’t find anything better.

I used these today to pull a muffin tin out of a 375° oven using 2 grippers. I was able to walk it across the kitchen without burning my fingers - just slight warmth. This was a reorder due to losing the last set, so I looked at all of the newer all silicon grippers. All of them had one or more reviews saying that not to use them to pull stuff out of the oven. They are a bit cheaper than this one, but I think these are well worth the money. At the same time, they are small enough to navigate the toaster oven. They cover the tips of my fingers on one pocket and the thumb fits in the other pocket. Both pockets are the same size. I am so glad to have them back in my kitchen!

They work just fine, but they were advertised as being made in the USA and they were not. But otherwise they work well and were worth the cost.

Fertigung sieht toll aus. Keine optischen Mängel. Die Handhabung klappt mit kleinen Fingern/Händen etwas besser, als mit großen (Männer-) Händen. Aber definitiv eine Verbesserung zum vorherigen Geschirrtuch.
