Great product
I needed a stud finder and choose this one because it supposedly finds multiple things in the wall. It works as described! I have used it successfully several times. It fits my hand well. It's easy to use. It's easy to read. I'm very comfortable with this product and recommend it.

Buy this one. Peace of mind using it will calm your nerves.
I've owned a bunch of stud finders, scanners, whatnot over the years. Each was a disappointment until now. The features and sensitivity of the metal/stud/electrical detectors are superior to anything I've used in the past. The value, battery life and software design is worth the money. Sweating bullets, wondering if I'm going to punch through electrical or copper lines has ended. I recommend this.

Full featured easy to read large lighted screen, love electrical and battery indicators.
The media could not be loaded. I seem to go through stud finders about every 5 years or so. They just seem to stop working well after some time. I usually buy the cheaper models, so I guess I should expect that. This Zircon is a step up from what I usually buy. There are a few things I like about this model (A200) and a few minor things I don't. The things I like are the accuracy when it finds a stud and the red light on center. The ability to show electrical is great. This is a new feature for me. One great feature is the battery indicator. I have found that stud finders are quite particular about having a fully charged strong battery in them. In the cheaper models you don’t know the battery is weakening and you start having problems or difficulties. Usually, a fresh strong battery is the solution. This one is no different. I installed a “new” battery but right away it showed it was low and the device has some operational issues. I found another new battery that was strong, and the device worked fine. Seeing the charge level of the battery is a great feature. The things I don't like are the size.... it is kind of large in my hand. Also, it is a little touchy with regard to finding studs, sometimes it reads falsely, you really need to go over a suspected stud a few times to make sure you have a stud. This is no different than others I have used. Also, this has a metal search, great for finding pipes and such.Overall, this is a good device for the money. I wish it was a little smaller and didn’t get false reading like it does from time to time but these are minor issues.Positives:• Nice large screen• Full featured, electrical, stud, metal scan• Battery monitor when low• Clear lighted indication of center of stud• Reasonable costNegatives:• Rather large size in hand• Can get false reading sometimes.Honestly this is a good device. I think it could be made a little better, perhaps a rechargeable built in lithium battery instead of these 9 volts and a smaller more ergonomic design but again, this is a solid device that I expect years of service from, and my dislikes are pretty minor.Recommended 5 stars. This is my honest review of this item; I hope this it was helpful in your buying decision process.

Easy to use, fast connectivity, reliable readings
This scanner works great my Navion RV and helped me tremedously for a smog check. Never change the chassis battery right before a smog check as the vehicle can loose all the codes needed to pass. I ultimately had to have the DEF tank replaced and then used this again to check when all codes were clear.

Inconsistent performance
I had a big round of remodeling coming up, so I decided to upgrade from my old studfinder (probably from Sears 20 years ago) and go with this one. It's about the same honestly. I'll give it points for the nice display; if it actually finds a stud it does a nice job showing the center, but my old one was fine too - just sweep from both directions and split the difference. This one performs about the same as my old one in terms of false positives and false negatives. I've had to resort to guessing, knocking, and drill-every-inch methods more times than I'd like in recent weeks having purchased this. If you don't have a studfinder, maybe this one is ok at its price point. If you do have a decent one, don't expect this to be an upgrade. I'm looking at the Bosch GMS 120 as a potential upgrade to this one.

The Best One Yet
I bought this after owning a couple other well known brands. None of them were cheap ones either. But now I have finally found one that will do a "deep scan" and find the studs I am looking for. In my case, I needed to mount grab bars onto a bathtub surround. The surround was made out of 3/8 inch Corian. Under that was 1/2 inch drywall - the dense kind that is used for wet environments. In back of that was a vapor barrier. Then came the studs. NO PROBLEM! And right on the money! I am not paid for reviews. I own this. I highly recommend it. And by the way, when comparing stud finders, I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer a lifetime warranty on this product!

Mr Magoo of stud finders
I have several projects coming up and thought it was time to upgrade my trusty old Zircon Studsensor 4.0 Pro stud finder to a fancy new digital one. I lost count the number of times I've used the old Zircon and how many studs it has found. It's been a terrific tool! But this new Zircon A250? Very disappointing. And yes, I do the calibration step as required. It misses studs the old Zircon locates with no problems. The new Zircon set to Deep Scan may sometimes catch a faint whiff of a stud the old Zircon has no trouble locating on the regular scan mode. These are just basic interior walls with a skim coat of plaster on them.Well, thought I, maybe the brand new, name brand battery I put in the new stud finder is flaky so I tried another new battery. Nope, no better. Next, I swapped batteries between the old and new Zircons. Nope, still no contest, the Studsensor 4.0 Pro for the easy win.Looks like my search for a more modern stud finder continues. Or maybe I'll just stick with the trusty old-school Zircon Studsensor Pro 4.0 and do the AC scanning another way.I'm happy others have had great success with their A250, unfortunately I'm not one of them.
