A Must Whenever Dyeing Clothes
I have been re-dyeing my black jeans for years. It makes them look new again. If you don't use the RIT dye fixative, the color will 'bleed' out in your wash. It works great! I highly recommend.

It definitely helps the dye more resistant to fading in the wash. Very pleased with the result!

Easy and effective
Easy to use and effective. However it does cause the dyed items to bleed and lighten a bit even if they have already been washed and worn so keep that in mind.

It worked well. My pants are blue. Except I ordered Burnt sienna. Still look good though.?I kid! RIT Dye is the only dye.Nat

Colorstay worked as it was supposed to
Seems to have done the job and held up thru the first cold water wash with no fading. Definitely recommend using this each time dye is used.

Didn't work
I took a lot of effort in prepping all the details. I made sure to have every item to set up for success from the size of the soaking container to quantity and timing of products. I didn't see any difference in howy product washed up and held dye vs. other products that didn't get it. Won't do it again. Vinegar even works better than this.
