Got pulled over the second day running these would run them again but not worth the hassle unless your state allows it. Gave it to a friend he got pulled over by 4 undercover officers got a warning there....then gets pulled over by state trooper got another warning. Parks on the street for the night gets a nice ticket for 150 dollars 💵

Product looks great! Put on my BMW F10 M5. It was a really tight fit due to the rearview camera location just above the rear license plate on the M5. The screws that come with the kit are size M6 screws and are too big, however they will prob fit most domestic vehicles. I just ran to Lowes and picked up some 16mm .8-M5 size screws and it worked perfect on the BMW. Also, be sure to install the small washer underneath of the screw head on top of the license plate cover and frame... if you don't the black screw covers won't secure properly. Without the washer installed they came off very easily. Reinstalled with the washer and they locked into position with a snap and felt secure then. I'm pretty sure this is the reason that most people are commenting about the caps not feeling secure bc they elected to not install the small washer underneath the screw head which is how the product is designed to work (also shown in the instructions). Looks dark enough to me and my vehicle is very dark. Any darker and I think it would start to look kiddish.

I had two big problems with these license plate covers/frames:1. The frame doesn’t fit AROUND the cover, it just sits right on top of it. It’s not so much a frame as it is a thick black bulge on top of the outer edge. This looks terrible.2. The combo of the frame and the cover is so thick that it won’t fit in the space provided for my rear license plate, which means I can only use one or the other and not both.One of the frames was also slightly bent so one of the corners wouldn’t sit flat.In the end I had to settle for using only the cover with no frame on the front, and nothing on the back. I could have bought a single cover for way cheaper considering that’s all I was able to use out of the package.

I love the way these look on my dark grey car. But, the black trim pieces are garbage, I ended up throwing them in the trash because they wouldn't sit flush. Second, these definitely aren't scratch resistant. They came out of the box with fine scratches from rubbing the inside of the box, I was able to polish it out though.Third I had one crack when I was pushing on the black screw covers. However I do like the way they look and apparently so does my wife because she made me order them for her car and the price isn't ridiculous.

This is no good. I bought the set, it comes with everything in the picture but like the other review. It doesn't fit around the frame or your plate it all is pretty much open to drip, snow, whatever debris that hits it. I tried to push the plate in the bubble tint part so it would be covered and the corner chipped without and pressure really. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone very poorly made in China.

Arrived on time but the protective cover was cracked along the edging. In addition the advertising images are a huge disappointment when I realized that the outter frame does not fit the smoke plate covers. They cut corners and I do not recommend this product in any way shape or form. It is the worst crap I have seen.

Hands down the best value for your money! Super impressed. As compared to other sellers - this one thought of everything. It comes with two frames for the front and back plates (where applicable my state uses one only but I used the other one for my mothers vehicle) and two smoked out covers along with two bags of hardware - one for each frame/cover that contains screws & washers & nuts & screw caps and the fittings for the screw caps. This was the third purchase I had made - the other plate covers I ordered either didn’t fit properly or were poorly made and didn’t include any hardware at all much less caps to cover the hardware which really gives it a nice polished off look. The smoke screen is enough to achieve the effect of having a smoked screen but not so much to “obscure” the plate thereby causing issues with law enforcement. The fit was perfect (plates issued in the US) and installation was easy breezy. I will definitely buy again and recommend to others.

So I read other reviews stating that their plates didn't fit and in trying to get the plate in it cracked the cover.Well... I figured I was smarter than they were.My license plates didn't fit, but I had a plan for that. A little dremel action and good to go. I just shaved a bit off my plate. Seemed like it was going in, a little snug but it was making it. Now I'm an industrial/automation/production mechanic/technician/electronics tech and so on. I have a pretty good feel for things and I'm not big on forcing things when they aren't going together right. So I was very surprised when my first cover cracked. I was not using more than fingertip pressure to get the plate in.But like I said, I only really needed one of these. So I went back at the plate with the dremel and got it to where it fell into place without force at all. Beware.Other than that I like the gloss black finish on the frame and the hardware caps. Happy with how it looks on my car.

These are illegal in Ontario. You may not get randomly stopped but you very well may.

This item shipped quickly. It looks nice, but I was disappointed that it is made from cheap plastic. I don't imagine it will last long. I'm also concerned that that the smoked cover may conceal the number too much for law enforcement and will go check at the local police station if this is in fact an issue or not. I am also disappointed with the nuts and bolts and end fixtures as they do not install the plate on the vehicle (not the right size). Thankfully, I already had the correct bolts. I wouldn't recommend this product to others

These license plate covers are okay. They do seem rather cheaply made, so only time will tell if they are durable. They’re easy to install, and I highly recommend taking care not to over tighten the screws. The plastic seems quite brittle, and I assume it would easily crack should you fasten the screws just a tad too tightly.Now that I’ve installed it on my Acura RDX, it looks good at a distance. Up close you can tell the plastic frame is cheap. I have ordered a chrome frame, so I’m not too concerned. I just hope the cover will fit into the new frame.Considering you get 2 sets of these covers/frames, it’s a reasonable price.Edit: The 1st one I installed became really scratched and ratty looking after less than a month, so I decided to switch it out for the 2nd one. It cracked while I was tightening the bolt. Very disappointed at the poor quality.

wish it was darker but ok and well made
