Pam’s Study Guides are top notch! She has faithfully, consistently, and relentlessly researched, updates, and provides the best information for each BCEN certification exam on the market. I have purchased her emailed version previously, then when I ordered a copy of the bound version, I fell in love with the way she neatly, concisely, and perfectly put the information together, with bolder words, study guide tips/tricks, and all information in the bound versions that I have actually repurchased copies in the bound format I had previously purchased in the past. Pam is dedicated to helping RN’s pass the BCEN certification tests & has dedicated her career (and personal business) to helping RN’s excel, learn, stay up to date, and more than I can begin to write in a concise review. In the years I’ve known/spoken with Pam, I have grown to love her passion even more for helping us achieve our goals. The bound copies are hands down worth the price (actually worth much more if you ask me & lots of other RN colleagues I have had the pleasure of working with over my career). She also includes her email & responds quickly, professionally to all. I would also recommend attending one of her LIVE courses if you ever get the chance (I was one of the “lucky” 😉 few to get her on some ZOOM lectures, and I hope 🤞🏼 one day she will maybe surprise us with a couple zoom classes in the future). Excellent study tool for the CEN. Direct and right to the point. Tests questions very helpful. I bought this 1 month before my exam & passed. Good purchase, but not for beginner nurses, as it's a review, not a learning tool.

Recently, I took the CEN exam. I found that, in addition to prioritization, many questions required causal reasoning (critical thinking). As I reflected on the materials I used to prepare for the CEN exam, I realized this booklet was the most helpful. The information contained within its 111 pages is organized, thorough, and concise.

This is hands down the best study guide/study tool for the CEN. I used it exactly as Pam advised in the front of the book. I loved the format of the book. She made the materials easy to understand. I took the practice exams and reviewed over her key points after I’d read the book. I aced my CEN on my first attempt and recognized a ton of the material from her book on the test. I highly recommend this book. I actually was given a different CEN review book by a friend, but MUCH preferred this one and have recommended it to tons of my colleagues. I also recently purchased the TCRN book based on how great the CEN book was. Thank you Pam for such an amazing put together review book.

Passed the CEN in 1 hour. 134/150 Would highly recommend her book. It's just the right amount of information and not overwhelming. The 2025 edition has some changes, but mostly the same. Thanks Pam!

I got this book 4 days before I actually tested due to a recommendation from a friend and it helped me feel more confident on the day of the test! I will say I also watched the Mark Boswell videos on YouTube but I loved the layout of this book and it filled in the gaps that I needed to cover. I passed on my 1st try and already bought her TCRN book to start studying for that one next.

The book overall has a lot of information that can be quickly read. It's well organized. Different colors would be helpful for organizing topics.

Passed my CEN exam today using this study guide and Solheim’s review. I actually bought this book because I was having trouble remembering all of the info Solheim presents. Solheim had too much info and too detailed for me while trying to review for a test over such a broad topic like ER nursing.Many coworkers who have their CEN recommended this book so I went ahead and bought it. Let me tell you, this was the best decision of my life in studying for this exam.The PDB CEN review book was concise and to the point and I saw MANY questions that were about material in this book and at the level of detail presented. The study questions are also very useful.Thank you so much for making this book! It made the daunting task of studying for the CEN much more manageable and way less stressful! Buy this book, study it, and you can go into the test relaxed knowing that you are well prepared!
