Great in theory; not in practice
A simple, elegant portable Bluetooth speaker made of handsome wood, not chintzy plastic? From a manufacturer with an admirable track history?Well, not so fast. The app they’ve made proves Tivoli is an analog company. It’s terrible. On paper you can use this speaker with a wifi setup. I’m reality it’s Bluetooth exclusively. And don’t even bother buying the supplemental battery to make the cube portable. It lasts 15 minutes. It’s effectively useless.Tivoli, stick with the radios. You ain’t no Sonos.

A total fail by a once-renowned outfit
Absolutely awful. Tivoli used to be THE name in quality electronics, famed for both sound and styling. Unless you're buying a classic Model One, Tivoli has nothing good to offer any more. This bluetooth speaker absolutely stinks. It can't hold onto a connection, for one thing, and that alone makes it useless. But even when it does stay connected, the sound is terrible, like an old car speaker playing AM radio. And that's for bluetooth. You can't use it on a wifi network unless you have PAID subscriptions to Spotify or Deezer -- no Amazon Music, Apple, or Google Play. The Tivoli app is primitive and wonky. The controls are on the back, where you can't see or reach them. (HUH?) And the battery, to make it portable, costs you EXTRA.Unlike all the speakers being released these days (fall 2017), the Tivoli doesn't take voice commands. So you're looking at something that's already obsolete. What a bust! Tivoli has become irrelevant. Sad!

Three Stars
Sound is not good as Tivoli One Digital. Not for $200. Maybe as 50$ device. Looks great.

but this sounds pretty good and looks great
I'm no expert, but this sounds pretty good and looks great. Really like the wood and cloth look. Using the app means the sound goes over wifi (I think) instead of bluetooth. I compared both and noticed a difference. Only problem so far - it can run off battery, but I think it is not available yet. Not sure I totally understand all it can do at this point. A tap on the top seems to pause it and later - even without doing anything on my phone, I can start it up and it continues playing even though my phone seems to be doing nothing. Maybe it is running off the app...not sure. Great looking cube for sure.

Is one “Cube” short of an attractive set of bookends..
I was instructed to buy this “cube” speaker by a Tivoli customer service rep after I called looking to add a speaker to my Tivoli clock radio. I bought the clock radio and while attaching the external antenna I noticed a stereo switch and many inputs and outputs. When I attached it with a 8’ 3.5 mm cable and an RCA adapter nothing worked even though I had it in auxiliary mode. I called back and eventually got someone at Tivoli who understood I needed a $49.99 speaker they made for adding to their mono radios and it comes with 12’ of cable already attached. Why anyone would buy this single speaker for $200 to listen to Bluetooth in mono is beyond me. Mono is for AM news

Speaker stuffed into a sock.
This speaker sounds like it is stuffed into a very heavy knitted wool sock. The kind of sock you'd like to wear on a snowy day. If you like to hear music from a sock, then this is the speaker for you.I was hoping for so much more from this speaker; especially since it has a high price point, and that so many people give Tivoli a good review. I think a lot of people like the idea of a modern looking speaker, and can't bear to think that it may not actually sound good. My whole family complaint about it, so I returned it.

Good looking, but not recommended.
A good looking speaker! The sound is okay, could be better.BATTERY NOT INCLUDED. You will need to order a battery from the Tivoli website to use when the speaker is not plugged in. The battery was $20, and an additional $12 shipping and handling. For the price of the speaker, I think the battery should have been included. And the shipping cost is unreasonably high.If you're playing music from an iPhone, you are required to download and run the music through a proprietary Tivoli "Art" app. It's an unstable app that inexplicably quits frequently.I own other Tivoli radios, speakers and cd players. The sound quality and understanding of the user experience are excellent. The "CUBE" does not live up to those standards.

Without proper upgrade of Tivoli Audio App, it's just expansive trash !
Whenever I wanna listen to Model CD or other local content music in my phone, I have to set up every time the so-called Zone over wireless system. Even worse thing is that there is no guarantee of successful connection. I have contacted Tivoli customer service several times. I can never understand what their plan is about this ART line of products. I still like their sound, especially Bass part. But compared to Beoplay App's working (I am also a user of Beoplay speakers which have a very similar system ), Tivoli is incomparably unsuccessful. Seriously, Tivoli Audio is collapsing in their business? Tivoli must continuously upgrade their app and system to survive with this ART line.
