This brass twin outlet, was bought to replace a plastic one. A very sturdy fitting, fitted in two minutes, with 2 easy to 'swing' outlet taps. An excellent replacement ! A good price too.

I bought a similar one a while ago and and the coupling where the unit is screwed onto the water supply tap just fractured and could not be repaired. Possible cause, too much stress on the unit from having 2 hosepipes attached at the same time.This unit looks a lot stronger and the individual taps are brass, not plastic. Initially they were very stiff to operate but are ok now. I have also eliminated the stress element of having two hosepipes attached at the same time. So far, so good. If there is a failure, I will update this review (if I can find it?)

I dont know if it's because there new and with some usage they will loosen or is it intentional to stop the flow of water when needed.Since getting this I have looked into other brass ones but they have like bigger adapters over the valves to help turn on and off. As most garden watering systems seem to be made from plastic these days we find that they don't last very long before the high pressure either splits the plastic or they constantly leak. It's refreshing to find a super strong tap connector that is made 100% from brass, even the tap handles are made from brass.This is a standard size Y connector that will fit most outside taps, this will provide two water outlets from a single tap. Not only is the body of the Y connector made from brass, the rotating ring that screws onto the tap is also brass so this should provide many years of service. The only thing that may need replacing over time are the rubber washers, there are 4 spares washers supplied in the box so that's even taken care of.I'm very pleased with this, it handles our high water pressure with ease. Once screwed on tightly there are no drips whatsoever from any of the washers. I recently fitted a permanent garden hose to the outside wall of my house and connected it to the water tap mounted to the same wall but this meant that I would have to remove the hose when I needed to use the tap for another purpose, so when I saw this I thought it might help with this issue.Fitting this was very easy, it simply screws up onto the existing outside tap and is sealed in place with the supplied rubber washer. This splitter is made from solid brass and is of a substantial weight giving it a quality feel. Being brass it should stand up to the extremes of weather that we get without cracking or breaking.Once fitted I connected my hose the one side leaving me with a spare water outlet for using to fill a bucket or connect a pressure washer to. As a bonus for me I can now leave the tap turned on, as this splitter has separate switches to turn the water on and off to each of the two outlets. These switches operate with an easy quarter turn of the thumb switch, making it far quicker and easier to use than having to twist the tap handle multiple times to get the water to flow at a good pressure.Well made, solid and good value.Recommended.

Didn`t last the winter. Bought a year ago and already in the bin. The main connector snapped.

I love the look of this hose splitter. It is brass, with no plastic pieces. Even the taps are brass. It comes with extra rubber washers which I found necessary to get a watertight seal when joined to the garden tap. It makes life so much easier as I no longer have to change hoses from irrigation to hosepipe used for window washing etc. It took about five minutes to screw it onto the outside tap, test, unscrew, add a washer and screw up again. Job done and I am delighted with it.Just an update. Two months on and the screws holding the little taps on are rusting. A little squirt of oil should sort it though. See the last photo.
