Beautiful, unique spruce top concert uke w/etchings
Beautiful, unique solid spruce top concert ukulele with laser design etchings of wheat and water fowl. The sound is strong and good. Absolutely Awesome ukulele. After a week of play, it sounds even better and stays in tune quite well.I am so pleasantly surprised that the Ukulele came with two strap buttonsinstalled, although that was not mentioned in the specs. Makes this a great value. Even better than expected. This ukulele is a gift to myself tocelebrate and reward myself for my twoyear ukulele anniversary of practisingself-taught to play ukulelewith assistance of YouTube tutorials. I am quite pleased with this ukulele. I lovelooking at it and playing it.Note: Sorry that the lighting in my apartment or cell phone camera makes the color of the spruce wood look more appricot than yellow.

Great ukulele!
This is the second ukulele I’ve purchase from this company, their other brand name being aklot, and I’m not disappointed in the slightest. This ukulele is very well made. It’s got a solid spruce top, which gives it a nice crisp sound, and mohogany back and sides. The soundhole is a cool flower shape, which doesn’t seem to affect the sound at all if you’re concerned about that. When you look into the inside, it’s very clean with no glue spots or anything like that. The top has a nice laser etched design with flowers and fairies. It’s also got a nice white with black striped binding around the body. The neck is very smooth, and the fret edges are filed down nice and smooth too. It comes with some decent sealed geared tuners, and fitted with some Aquila strings. Also it has a really nice action on it already, which is rare to find on a uke straight out of the box. Even much more expensive ukes usually need a set up done on them to get a nice height on the nut and saddle. This one comes pretty perfect already. Of course I should note that like any stringed instrument, the strings will need to stretch and be tuned constantly for the first few days before they’ll stay in tune.So all in all, there’s no reason for me to not recommend this ukulele to anyone, beginner or seasoned player. I have only a couple nitpicky complaints, one is that there are no side fret markers. Another is that the other uke I bought from them has strap buttons, this one does not, and being the odd shape of the soundhole it is something I’d hope to see on this. And lastly, the kmise logo on the headstock is/was coming up around the edges right out of the box. None of these things affect its playability so I still give it a solid 5 star rating. After the strings have settled a bit more I’ll load up a short video for a sound sample.

Great Uke for beginners
Overall this ukelele is a great product for the price. PROs - Cute artwork on the face of the uke. It comes with a carrying case (2 shoulder straps and 1 hand strap for different carrying options) which is of decent quality. It's not super padded so you still need to be careful when setting it down but enough protection to prevent scratches and dings. It comes with the strap buttons already attached so you don't have to worry about ruining the instrument trying to attach them yourself. It comes with a tuner, pik and extra strap button. Tuner works well so far but seems to have a hard time pining down notes at times and will change from "not the right note" to "the exact note" depending on how hard you strum. Don't know if that has to do with the tuner itself or plastic strings. CONS - IT DOES NOT COME WITH A STRAP so if you want one you'll have to purchase that separately. This isn't all bad because you can get one thats totally your style. I got a really cute one from another vendor and it's great. Next, if you have larger fingers it may take some maneuvering to play notes clearly. I have fairly small fingers and they are still crowded on the neck leaving me with a lot of "dead" notes. Obviously, this could be due to my lack of expertise :). Last, heavy strumming will get the uke out of tune quickly, even mid song. SO. But overall, great product for the price.

Sounds awesome
Tuners good, sound good, workmanship good, intonation good. The SOLID spruce top has 20 growth rings per inch which is pretty good.update after 7 months of playing: I still love it. I should have mentioned it came with side dots and top dots at fret 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, and has 18 frets, I got the cheapest Kmise and it came unfinished on the spruce. That played fine but I thought over time it might get dirty or scratched so I smeared Wipe on Polyurethane by Minwax on it and it came out great. A spray can finish is probably even easier. I also rounded off any rough areas on the bridge and keyboard edge just like I did to 2 other brands of Uke I bought (Ulumac, Uma) so the Kmise is just as nice as those except no finish on the spruce which some players like the sound of. I couldn't notice any sound difference between finished and unfinished but being spruce makes a big difference over mahogany but everyone has different preferences. I also put a stick-on pick guard for a few dollars to protect it. I can't help mentioning I put Worth Low G Brown Flourocarbon strings (which look black) and love those too. They took 2 months to get stable but now rarely need tuning.
