COLLAR STORM 8"8T-SC

The collar is the perfect size for the the Dura+ triple wall chimney pipe I have. This collar uses two large foldable tabs and has two sets of two tab slots for them. I believe I used the inside set of tab holes. A little silicone caulk around the upper end and it's great! I'd have given 5 stars if it had used a screw mechanism to close around the pipe, vice tabs.

The storm collar arrived in good condition and on time. However, if you are expecting stainless steel you will be disappointed. It is made of soft and fragile aluminum. Only 3 stars because the price is a bit high for a thin piece of aluminum.

Very disappointed. Replacing my shingle roof tomorrow. Have a Metalbestos 8" Double wall system 24 years old. This was before Metalbestos was purchased by Selkirk. Purchased new storm collar 8T-SC 208810 Selkirk Metalbestos storm collar. Too small for my 8" Metalbestos system. No where on Amazon's nor Selkirk's website does it stste that it would not fit. $23.18 down the drain.

this is a very nice storm collar, very large so it covers a lot of area to keep weather out.

I thought this was a fixed ring but turns out it was not, still works for the application made for.

Works great. Be sure to note that actual ID is 2" larger than the listed size as this is intended for multi-wall vent pipe.
