I've been using one of these every day for about 5 years. It is amazingly sturdy; one of the strongest magnets I've ever owned. I work at a cabinet company and highly recommend this. About half of my guys wear them now too. Keeps your tape handy, saves your jeans from getting torn up. Having a strong magnet on your side makes for a useful tool sometimes as well. My tape measure is on and off my hip 100+ times a day.

Became increasingly annoying with the fact that I had to constantly take off and place my measuring tape back onto my belt and was thinking that there had to be an easier way. I was pleasantly surprised to find this Quick Snap Magnetic Tape Measure Holder and it works! Attach your measuring tape onto the magnetic holder and attach the clip onto your belt and that's it. Simply move the measuring tape towards the clip and the magnets connect themselves to the clip. It also stays firmly in place while I'm moving around yet it is easy to pull it off of the clip.Would of been nice to have a bit more variety in colors, but since it works so well, that minor detail can simply be ignored. Also, the measuring tape can be placed onto a piece of metal and act as if someone else was holding onto it. Somewhat convenient if I find myself in a position where someone else can't hold the tape while I'm measuring something.

I don't like to tuck in my shirt, so my only option for my tape measurer was to clip onto my pocket. I didn't want that kind of wear-and-tear on my pants, and I also didn't like the second or two I had to occupy both of my hands just to deal with grabbing/putting back a tool I only needed for a quick second. With this magnet all inconvenience has been forgone. I can clip the main receiver to my belt, and then the measuring tape attaches to it over my shirt. I don't know what the other posts are complaining about in terms of strength because these magnets are really quite strong, unless you don't line it up with the receiver just right. If you're working in really tight spaces though, this might not be for you. I mostly use it to double check offsets and measurements for machines I'm running

I've had this before and liked it, but first time I've ordered it online and the rivets were broke on the side that goes on your belt. It's a really strong magnet and works really good, hopefully I can put a couple rivets in this and fix it myself. Last time I bought one it lasted a really long time, and it's good for people that do a lot of steel fabrication work, cause you can put your tape on anything metal that your working on, and at hands reach if you dont want to put it on your belt clip every time.

I’ve used this holder at work for several weeks now. Any tape will fit it. The magnet will hold through my shirt. Almost too strong magnet. I’ve pulled it off my pants a couple times grabbing my tape. Quality product. Easy to wipe clean too.

Starting off, the product looked convenient to use, but completely failed when it came to usefulness. Any kind of semi-heavy step would send my tape plummeting to the floor. My tape measure spent more time on the floor than it did on my hip. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. The magnets just aren’t even close to strong enough.

Had for a couple of months now and i have no problems with it. I tried using it with measuring tapes that were over 16ft and the magnet didnt want to stay on because it was to heavy but for 16ft tape works great.

Bought this for my husband who is a joiner/kitchen fitter he loves it said it's the best thing since sliced bread so magnetic it really works well excellent

Keeps tape measure exactly where you can find it.
