breaks too easily. Good for decorative stuff but not strong enough for tying branches together and other heavy duty stuff.

While this twine is a good price and the product is sturdy, the smell is absolutely horrible. The twin pack twine came in a zippered plastic bag. Each spool of twine was tightly wrapped in plastic. When I removed the plastic, the product wreaked of some petroleum fuel smell. This could not have occurred via shipping, but had to originate prior to packaging. The smell did not permeate through the plastic. I have tried airing it outside. I even took a long length of the twine, hand washed it - the second time in a strong scented laundry detergent and corresponding scent beads. I soaked it for about 40 minutes, rinsed it thoroughly, air dried it and still the odor persisted, although not quite as strong. I then put it outside again. Still the odor lingers. I have since cut the twine into the lengths I wanted to tie gift tags, wrapped them in a dryer sheet and placed them in a plastic bag. I'm waiting a week to see if that makes any difference. Very disappointed.
