Good product; I like the boots!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these dog boots in November of 2020 for my 9-year-old Doberman. I did not want to immediately write a review until I had a chance to check out the boots. I wanted to give a true and honest review, and now I am ready. I researched a variety of boots and reviewed a lot of online reviews, both good and bad reviews. I finally settled with Expawlorer because of the tread of the boot, the 2 velcro straps & the height of the boots for rain and snow conditions. My Doberman started to get arthritis in all 4 of her paws and legs, and her paws were giving out both indoors and outdoors. I really like the boots. They are well made, especially the tread and velcro. I wanted a rubber tread in case I wanted to use them indoors. The velcro straps are durable, and they wrap around my Doberman's leg very nicely. She only lost 1 boot in the yard because I didn't have the boot securely velcroed. I never had to purchase any boots for any of my Dobermans. I am thoroughly happy with these boots. There are 4 boots in this box. Watch, some companies have only 2 in the package so be careful reading the descriptions. I uploaded copies of each side of the box and a video to help anyone out that is undecided. At first, of course, my Doberman didn't like them, and it was something she had to get use to. Remember, dogs use their pads to feel so having boots on their paws takes away their sense of feeling the ground. On the box, there was no listing for a Doberman size. Even though I measured her foot according to the directions online, the box was slightly different in the directions. My Doberman measured at a size 6, but I ordered a size 7 because a prior review from a customer stated her dog got a sore on its paw from rubbing inside the boot. I am not sure if it was this boot, but I errored on the side of caution, and went up in size. Yes, the boots are "slightly" big around the first part of her paw, but when I velcro both straps around my dog's leg, its fine. I know that the company states waterproof, but I say water resistant. Hands down, I really like these boots, and I recommend them.

She loves them!
The media could not be loaded. I bought these for our mobility challenged Neo mastiff. She's afraid of walking on slick surfaces so we need something to help her get thru the Vermont winters. We've only just tried them out on some slippery, frosty mornings but already I can see an improvement in her confidence. Honestly it looks like she's intentionally 'giving em a run for their money', running up & down hills and over different terrain. Very little slipping in these test runs lol. They seem well made, the sole has a good grippy feel/treads and they're easy to put on. Only issue we've had so far are the back ones rotating around so she's walking on the top of the shoe. I think that's because of the way she swings her back legs around when she walks (due to hip dysplasia), so not an issue with the boot. We've solved that by putting a rubber boot under these as a grippy liner to hold them in place. For reference, she's 115lbs with big ole paws that measure at the top of the #8 range and they're a perfect fit

Greyhound owners please read!
We got a newly retired greyhound who couldn't walk on our wood floors (she looked like Bambi on ice). Additionally, we knew her feet would be sensitive to hot pavements and cold weather, so we decided to try these shoes. The size chart did not align with a greyhound foot, so I based my size on another greyhound owner's review and got a size 5. Also, the description says to go smaller if in between.Unfortunately, they were constantly getting twisted around and falling off. In a few days, her legs started shaking. We knew something wasn't right and we figured it was the size so we ordered a size 7. They fit much better, stopped falling off, but still got twisted around. After giving her a bath, we discovered that her skin was rubbed raw from the boots! We weren't able to see it when her fur was dry. We then ordered socks with taction and in the meantime bandaged her and put toddler socks on before the shoes. If you put socks on first, you can even fold them over the velcro straps to stop a dog from taking them off. The shoes are well made, and she will need these for extreme heat/cold, so we will keep the size 7s for rare usage (with socks). I honestly think a larger size may have even worked better. For those looking for indoor use, use dog socks with traction all the way around.

Keeps falling off dogs even when fitted properly due to shoe collar being too short.
The size chart is right on. These shoes fit my dog well. However, they keep falling of my dogs feet even when fitted properly with shoes pulled all the way up and straps tightened. The main problem is due to the shoe collars being too short. That is the critical flaw of these dog shoes and similar dog shoes. Unusable for me, so I returned them.

STAYS on my 85 lb giant schauzer, WATERPROOF
Super easy to put on. And I mean that. I have chronic pain even though I'm young, so ease is of UTMOST importance to me. My dog tried to kick the back ones off but they stayed on. To get my dog used to them, I put the front boots on for about 3 mins the first day. 2nd day front boots for 5 minutes. 3rd day, I put all 4 boots on for 3 minutes in the morning and 5 mins in the evening. He tried to kick them off but as soon as I put the leash on, he began walking normally except for one back boot which he tried to kick off. We have gone for walks with these one. He has also run wildly in grass and snow with these on. They DO NOT COME OFF. I'm so grateful for these. Recommend them to anyone. I got the size 8 for my giant schnauzer.

Does not standby the quality of their product
The rating has more to do with the company honoring the quality of their product than, in general, the product itself. I’ve purchased these booties for our Goldens for a number of years and the performance has been very good. This year the set we purchased in September had one boot in which the rubber pad came apart from the boot after only a couple weeks of usage. I’ve contacted the company twice in regard to the quality defect and have had no response. It is not what I expected and very disappointed after these many years as a repeat customer.

Would recommend
Fast shipping, durable, and they actually stay on. Our dog had crack pads that weren't healing (he's an active, big boy), and these boots took a short while to get used to (they will get used to them, just not at minute 0), allowing his pads to heal in less than a week.

Does the job
Comfort I can't really give you an honest review as its my dogs wearing them. She seems to like them as much as a cat in the bath, But they keep her feet protected and make snowy walks a lot better. They do keep her feet warmer than no boots and she can make it around the block without crying her feet got wet. They are a good product and affordable they get the job done.

Great idea, execution questionable
I purchased as my dog was getting thorns in his feet. The boots are easy to get on and Velcro close works. However, as I live in subtropics, and dogs regulate their temp through paws and panting, not sure if they are suitable for the original task. They will be good for hikes in winter. I test drove them in the kitchen, then my dog walked 3kms first time, all went ok, although I am not sure he liked them.
