Perfect journal
Love this journal! I'm using it for my personal and junk journal. The size is just right for everything I'm working on. The paper is a nice feel and I love how the book lays flat. As long as the pen you're using isn't runny, the paper holds really well with no bleed through. I use Tombows on it too and glides beautifully with no bleeding as well. The plastic cover is a plus too to protect the book, but also nice added protection when the cover is decorated.

High quality notebook
I like this notebook! I recently got a fountain pen and this notebook paper works very well with the pen! The paper feels high quality and I haven't had any issues with ink bleeding through. The design is very minimal but I like that I can decorate it however I want. The notebook cover is also high quality and my notebook definitely feels protected.

Nice!
I use the hob but for plain journals these are great! The paper is completely different and much thicker (I can use any pen) which is a nice change. I use these for various subject matters. I appreciate the value here having the addition of a plastic cover. The journal itself has only a paper cover unlike the hard bound journals we find on our shelves at our local Target, Walmarts and such. But the journal paper is much higher quality. I’ve used blank and grid. I haven’t ordered lined. Paper is cream, no bleed-through.

Midori is the best
Midori notebooks are just the best. Best paper, best binding/sewing/cloth. They lay completely flat. The darkness of the grid lines is perfect (most companies go way to dark). There's a reason why everyone raves about them when you dive deep into the paper and notebook obsessed people on Reddit and YouTube.I like the plastic cover way more than the paper cover they sell. It lays flatter and just isn't awkward like the paper, and will obviously resist dirt way better and be cleanable. I haven't tried the leather cover and at the price it'll be a while before I even consider it. I'd probably make my own before doing that since I've rebound books before. You can buy it without the plastic cover too though. If you don't need hardcover this is the best choice. If you do need hardcover then buy the same size from a different brand then after using it look up how to rebind a book then use that cover with this notebook. I've done that and it's ridiculously easy and then end product is great. You basically will just need glue for it. Since Midori notebooks are just unbound books.10/10 top recommendation.

Great for even the Pentel Fude Touch Pens
I use this notebook for its compact size since it matches the profile of my Genki books well. It doesn't take up a lot of room, plus the included protective cover is wonderful and protective. Plus it was nice being able to slip in a label from one of my favorite bottles of sake underneath it. The cover is worth it if you are putting it in your backpack with other things.Unlike 'marble' style notebooks, each page opens flat since the binding is of high quality. It makes taking notes a lot easier as you don't have to hold pages down. Gel pens and Pentel brush pens I use do not bleed through to the other side and the paper is a nice off-white color that's practically the same as the Genki textbook (if you happen to own it you'll know what I mean)

Best notebook
As a fountain pen lover I find the paper to be excellent in texture and quality. Also the binding is very functional and durable as it opens flat. My new favourite notebook.

A lovely notebook!
In a quest to find the best free-form notebook suited to bullet journal-ing, I scoured the internet for its best recommendations and finally decided on the Midori A5 with cover. For reference, the book itself is a little bit larger than half of a standard 8.5"x11" sheet of paper, and the book cover itself is a pleasing pale yellow color sturdy paper. The plastic cover does well to help protect the book and can easily be put on and taken off. The sheets have a light grid that is super useful to me, as I like having freedom to doodle and draw but the grid helps me draw straight lines when I need them. I use 0.38 Muji pens on the pages, which don't bleed, however other inkier/thicker pens I've tried do bleed. All in all, a compact and clean yet spacious multi-purpose notebook.

Midori A5 Graph Notebook
Midori notebooks are excellent. I have dot grid and graph. This but was another graph. A5 is a good size to dedicate to my training coursework. I like softcovers so I can flip through fast. Very minimalistic so it’s a good fit. Good value on Amazon. Easy writing; graph lines aren’t distracting. Creme color is not fatiguing for my eyes. No format so its functionality changes with its purpose. My others are BuJo used or Bible study notes and some, just random thoughts during a brainstorm.
