i got mine and i'm wondering, is this real bamboo? i got the one without the bindings and brown colored.

It seems to be handmade. It’s actually a bamboo pipe with holes and it’s delivered in a textile case, nicely closed with a pin. The only thing is that the design wraps around it are made of some kind of plastic tape. They could have used some natural material tape, like paper scrolls, not necessarily donkey leather like the originals.
