I gave this book as a gift to someone who works as an electrician in the theater, and other venues outside of that. He was very pleased to receive it, and looked forward to reading it for ideas and techniques for future projects.

I have found this book incredibly useful! Being fairly new to the industry and in my first permanent job, I have found that it has put some of what I learned on my course into context, as well as teaching me a lot that we either didn't learn or I can't remember! The different sections (Quick Start, More Info, Extras) means there is something for everyone, regardless of experience, and the way it is written is informative without being too complicated or patronising, it's pleasantly situated in the middle. I have appreciated having this book with me as I have come against new equipment and procedures that I have not done before, but can now be prepared for.I would highly recommend this book to anyone, but especially if you are a student, new graduate or just need a refresher!

The book covers everything you need to know without having to read from cover to cover just dip in and out as you require.

The best lighting book by far. It is up to date and covers all stage lighting in great detail.

An excellent book for both beginners and more experienced. The videos are particularly useful and interesting. A thoroughly recommended purchase.
