I am a physician and have used many scopes. This is not a professional quality scope. It also does not cost 200 bucks. in the hospital, scopes have a habit of growing legs and walking off. i bought this for a cheap, low risk trial option to carry in the hospital, that if stolen wouldn't be such a loss. It fills this role perfectly. It is a great little scope for <20 bucks and ith the purchase of more speculae (tips) it found a permanent place in my white coat. It only provides about 75% the quality of a typical medical scope and obviously there is no instrumentation through it, but for parental use, or in-home use this is a great item. I can recommend without hesitation.

This product is refills for the otoscope I own and it works well and fits well.

It's a little small so therefore not super easy to use if you're used to a standard wall mounted otoscope in a provider's office but price to product, I'm very pleased with this purchase. It is handy to have at home, more useful than a standard flashlight. It's nice that replacement disposable covers are also affordable and easily purchased on Amazon but I wish the case was big enough to keep a few in it so I don't have to keep the packages of refills contained and handy in the exact same area as the otoscope since the refills don't come in a nice package. I do like the case, just wish it could hold some refill covers. I like the pics you can see online to compare what you are seeing in real life but it would be nice if they had included them on a small card in the case for reference when you don't have internet access.

I purchased the otoscope for a mission trip to Haiti. The price was excellent and I hoped to buy more. I wanted to be sure ear drums were visible as some reviews were negative.I know a pediatrician who had worked examining elder's ears also. I had him check my ears. He said it worked fine and ear drum was visible. I am ordering more today.

I bought a pocket LED otoscope which came with 4 different sized speculas. I of course paid no attention to the fact that they were to be washed and reused. I tossed each one out after 1 use then needed more. The brand I bought did not have any disposable speculas to order so I had to cross my fingers and hope that I could find a brand that fit. The Dr. Mom brand thankfully fit, so I didn't have to buy any others. I got the 3mm size but I think it is better suited for pediatrics so I'll probably reorder with Dr. Mom and get the 4mm or 5mm sized speculas.

This is the medium size for the Dr. Mom otoscopes. They come in three sizes:1) 2.5mm2) 3mm3) 4mmThis size is best for someone with medium-sized ears, like a teen or young adult. I'd recommend it for Pediatricians or Family Practitioners. I bought the Dr. Mom otoscope because they work better than the Welch Allyn brand name one that was much more expensive. The Dr. Mom otoscope is very lightweight. It also has a better light, and since it's LED, the batteries last longer. It doesn't weigh down your white coat pockets, which is always a plus!
