510 15" Replacement Hose Whip

I have an older air gauge set up and when I say older I mean older. The gauge pops up out of the top of the handle when checking the psi. I got it back early 90’s so I would say I have definitely got my money’s WORTH….the end of the hose whip where the compression fitting is located, where it screws into the handle broke off one day. I looked at some newer ones but just was not impressed or felt like I wanted to spend that kind of money for a new one, especially when the handle was still in good shape and not having any issues. I just need the hose whip but the compression screw on the end of the whip was not the same size….it was smaller but I was not able to find any same size Milton. I went ahead and bought the length I needed anyways because I had an idea. I bought a brass fitting reducer and added to the end of the hose whip…bing go bang go…back in business. Worked perfectly. I did add Teflon tape to prevent any air leakage too. I picked up the reducer at Lowe’s for about $5 or $6 bucks. The one I needed was male 1/4” to female 1/8” reducer. So anyone out there that may have the same issue this will help solve it. It did not add much length to the hose whip either and to be frank; it actually likes like it was made that way when I got it put together. Happy Times!!
