Whole Body Vibration: The Future of Good Health [Becky Chambers BS. MEd.] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Whole Body Vibration: The Future of Good Health Review: I highly suggest - This is a great book. It tells all the benefits of using a board. And gives you exercises to try. Most WBV machines donโt come with a help book or exercise book when you buy one so this book rescale in handy. And believe me theses machines work and work even better with this book very informative. I highly suggest getting this book even if you already own a WBV machine. Good job author you hit the nail in the head with this book. Review: Overall information about the use and benefits of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) intended for those who are new to it. - The book covers different benefits to WBV. I'm always glad to take a look at any book on the topic of Whole Body Vibration (WBV), because not much is written about it in 'book' form, although research studies are available from time to time if you search for them. If nothing else, Becky Chambers' book reminds me to use my equipment, which has helped me greatly over the years that I've been using my PowerPlate. For that reason, the book was worth it to me. There are references in the 'Endnotes' and 'Additional Research Studies' sections that are worth checking out. I got my PowerPlate when I had two broken arms. Doctors recommended surgery for both, but also were not very optimistic about the results. They told me I would always have pain. I refused the surgery and bought myself a PowerPlate WBV machine instead. I only had been having pain in one arm, and it went away quickly and permanently. People told me it would always 'flare up' again during changes in the weather. It hasn't. I have had times when I've had the normal aches and pains from over-exercise and just getting older. Whole body vibration (WBV) has helped me dramatically. I like to read about new and ongoing research, which is one reason I'm always searching out and reading anything I can find on the topic of WBV. I'm also very concerned about bone density loss, or osteoporosis. It seems very smart to work to avoid loss of bone density. WBV has made a verifiable difference---as long as I use it regularly. When I don't, the numbers show it. Chapters include 1 The Ten-Minute Workout 2 Losing Weight with Whole Body Vibration 3 Increasing Bone Density 4 Get Smart and Protect Your Brain 5 Boost Your Energy 6 Rejuvenation: Sex, Beauty, and Mobility 7 Detoxing with Whole Body Vibration 8 Choosing a Whole Body Vibration Machine Endnotes Additional Research Studies Resources and Additional Reading

Don't buy vibration machine without reading this first!
A doctor recommended I get a vibration machine to help with building bone. I was overwhelmed with all the various machines (including huge price range differences) and decided to do some research first. Becky's straight-forward, easy to read book was just what I needed. It provided me with lots of useful information and a much better understanding of how vibration works. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation in circulation and many people are not getting the benefits they could be getting. I also consulted with Becky to get additional help in choosing and using a vibration machine. I highly recommend this book before purchasing a whole body vibration machine.

Literally A Life Saver
After reading Becky Chambers book, Whole Body Vibration, I started wondering if a WBV machine would help me. Several years ago I had broken my right hip, thigh bone and tore up my knee. They pinned the hip and pinned the thigh bone backed together and operated on the knee. Without realizing it, I started to favor that leg and, inadvertently, was making it weak. I had hopes that the Gentle 500 would help. I decided to try it and placed a pre-order for the new machine. Then, while I was waiting I fell and broke not only my left hip; but, also my shoulder, completely destroying my rotator cuff. When the blood supply got cut off to the broken part of my shoulder, the bone died and fell off and they had to do a reverse shoulder replacement. I now had the use of one arm and one leg. I also got laid off. At this point I was suffering from really severe depression. Adrenal fatigue had left me with the energy of a slug. My attitude was awful โ I didnโt even want to cook much less do anything productive. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst, my energy was at an 11 or 12. In the meantime, my machine came in and I had read Beckyโs second book Homeopathy Plus Whole Body Vibration. I decided that this was exactly what I needed. I set up a consultation with Becky and after many questions, she recommended a homeopathic remedy that she felt would work. After 4 doses, taken every 3rd day, I was feeling different. So now let me tell you what I have accomplished in one month. I went from a walker, to a cane, to walking normally; slowly; but, normally. I still need to work more to build up my stamina; but, that will come. I decided to get my nails done and I havenโt done that in 2 years. I had, at one time, signed up for a course which I really wanted to do; but, had shelved it for a lack of interest. Well, I got that out and decided to start working on it. My energy level isn't great yet (a 7 or 8) but definitely better and I have only just begun my treatment. My attitude has improved. I just have a general feeling of contentment. I wish I had found the WBV and homeopathy sooner. Donโt hesitate to look into this and be sure to consider doing both because they work beautifully together. Thank you Becky. Oh yes, Iโm 81 yrs old, so itโs never too late.

Some good information, a lot of selling her product(s)
The up side: The information on how WBV was developed, the research, and the ways it can be helpful, is really good. Be aware there is not actually research listed to support every claim made in the book - so, no guarantee this practice will make you a youthful sex machine. But there IS lots of solid research on the great benefits of using WBV, and the conclusions she draws on possible benefits that don't yet have research behind them, are pretty intuitive - so I didn't feel like she was out on a limb. The down sides: I was hoping there were more pictures of exercises to do on your WBV machine. More disturbing is the section on selecting a machine. She gives a lot of minute specifications to look for without naming any brands or machines, so this doesn't actually help you much in choosing one - just gives you a ton of confusing criteria to try to find out about the machines you're looking at. The book refers you to her website for more information on machines - a flicker of hope there, but it just overviews the same criteria and features only two machines: the ones she sells. One is $899, the other is over five thousand. It seems clear that her goal here is to inject just enough fear and confusion into the process so you want to purchase one from her - probably the only machines that meet her many criteria - and maybe her services into the bargain. I was disappointed with that, as it prices many people out of something that could do them a lot of good. There are several WBV machines right here on Amazon in the $200-300 range that have an enormous number of fantastic reviews, some by people who have been doing this for years. I plan to purchase one of these as my first try at WBV therapy. Good luck!

Stopped Me From Buying Wrong Machine
Just finished reading the book. Discovered WBV only a few weeks ago. Decided that I needed a machine to help with a few health issues, as well as to give me the energy to start working out again. I already walk 3x a day w/ my dog, but staying at same weight. Looking for a way to have results without shredding my body with intense workouts. That no longer appeals to me. While researching machines on Amazon, I came across this book. So glad I did. I had my heart set on a dual motor machine for $500 at 1500 watts. But after reading this book, realize I should stay away from dual motors. That decision has saved me $150 as I am now going to get a similiar machine from the same manufacturer but with only one motor and 1000 watts of power for $349. I thought more power, more motors = better results. Discovered that was not true after reading this book. MISSING: Comparison of machines by name brand. Then simply update that list with new revisions in the book. The only cheap machine she recommends on her website doesn't have the features I want and doesn't look like it will hold up with years of use. I will, however, take her advice on starting slow with 1 minute a day (or maybe I'll do 1 minute 2x a day) instead of the max 10 minutes I was planning on doing. Have to work up to that. I will also be prepared for the detoxing effects. That was something I would not have considered without reading the book. Very informative.
