I just finished reading Baby Steps Millionaires: How Ordinary People Built Extraordinary Wealth—And How You Can Too by Dave Ramsey, and honestly, it was one of the most practical and motivating finance books I’ve read in a while. What I appreciated most is how approachable it is—Dave doesn’t talk like a Wall Street guy, he talks like a coach who genuinely wants you to win with money. The book is filled with real stories of everyday people who followed his “baby steps” plan—paying off debt, saving consistently, and building wealth over time. It’s not about flashy shortcuts or risky investments, it’s about discipline, focus, and believing that financial peace is possible even if you’re starting from nothing. There were moments where I felt like he was talking directly to me, especially when he tackled the mindset side of money—like fear, self-doubt, or the belief that becoming a millionaire is only for the lucky few. It’s not heavy on technical details or investing strategies, but that’s kind of the point. It’s about building the foundation first, and Ramsey does a great job reminding you that it’s a long game—and anyone can play it if they’re willing to stay committed. By the end, I felt empowered, not overwhelmed. If you’re struggling financially or just want a clear, proven path to building wealth without gimmicks, this book is a solid place to start. It’s straightforward, relatable, and most importantly—it gives you hope.

This book is a great read.

Good book. Not too long and didnt go on and on about one Subject. I think it is worth a read for any person serious about their finances.

Dave Ramsey is my idol who has saved hundreds of thousands of family out of debt and into life!

Easy to read and understand. A great way to start putting your finances and life for success.

Great book for the person who wants a simple plan (hard path) to becoming financially setup later in life. It doesn't have to be complex.

I have followed Dave Ramsey to one extent or another since the '08 crash, and appreciate his advice and his plan. While I've not been hyper focused on it, it has helped me become debt free and set myself up for a comfortable retirement. That said, I was a bit disappointed as this book really has little new to add to the books he's written before. It contains numerous inspirational stories of folks who have followed his plan and have been successful, and it recaps the Baby Steps as well. The only nuggets that I was able to pull from this that seemed new (though not completely if you've watched any of his YouTube clips or listed to his show) was his advice on preparing your children on following the plan and being good stewards of any inheritance. Those bits I thought were well done, although they don't help me much as I don't have kids. He also had a lot of focus on establishing that money isn't evil, and that you don't have to be ashamed of doing well. Other than that it really was just recapping old information. He did seem to be "preaching" a bit more in this book as well. Which if you're a Christian and into that, then you may appreciate that. All in all I was a little bummed that there wasn't more information and details around what to do and how to invest once you've hit that millionaire status. I had expected maybe some more insight into that next level. His plan is solid, and I encourage people to pick up the Total Money Makeover if you're new to Dave. But if you're already on the plan, there's not much new info to pick up from this book.

Purchased in Nov 23 Waste of cash. Very unappealing book. There re 3 pages that outline saving and investment strategies then about 120 pages of Bible style tales of people that "made it". Story, after story, after story. Just a collection of individuals and their financial getgoings. Title should be stories of "retired people who became millionaires. " More of a religion book than money advice.

In order to become a millionaire you need to follow step by step a proved and well structured guide, and this is the guide. One more required ingredient is a new mindset which drives you to the goal, if you can believe it you can achieve it. It's necessary to have plenty knowledge of the previous book Total Money Makeover in order to have detail of each one of the baby steps.

The book was very informative and encouraging. It showed how you can quickly change the tipping point of needing to borrow money to having your money grow.
