Nothing beats Old Glory waving in the breeze - so easy
Nothing to it to assemble but I took extra steps to assure sturdiness.First, I bought two 4-foot wooden dowels & sawed off about 4 inches to fit inside the top and middle poles (they’re hollow) for extra strength against strong wind.Next, before I anchored the flagpole into the ground, I placed the bottom pole into the ground stake all the way to the bottom and marked a dot four or five inches up the pole from where it goes into the ground stake. I drilled a hole through to the other side in order to put a nut, bolt, and washer to hold that pole securely since it doesn’t snap together like the other two poles do. I removed that pole before setting the stake into my the ground.Next step was to dig a hole 18 inches deep and probably about 8 inches or so all around. I drove the ground spike into the center of the hole 2-3 inches deep using a rubber mallet (ground was soft because it’s rained a lot). I used a small level to make sure it was straight then finished driving the stake all the way into the ground 13 inches deep, checking again to make sure it was straight.I had bought a 50 lb bag of Sacrete Quick Cement to finish the job. I used garden hose to fill the hole about 1/3 of the way with water then I worked the bag of cement around the pole, filling the hole evenly all the way around, then smoothed it out with a garden trowel (a small piece of scrap wood will do) with a slight slope away from the pole. I then put the hose nozzle on “spray” (gentle for watering flowers) to wet the dry cement. I just sort of watched it harden, which was pretty quick. I just added a little more water until it pooled on top. The anchor was steady as a rock by then.Note: if you do it like this, the concrete will surround the ground stake and go up another 5 inches. It is very secure but you don’t have to go that far.Finishing off is to slide the bottom pole into the holder on the ground stake. Be sure you don’t bury or cement the ground stake so high that you can’t insert the pole. This is where I pre-drilled the holes to insert the nut and bolt to hold it securely to the ground stake. Also note that the bottom pole won’t accommodate a wooden dowel because two fasteners at either end block insertion of a dowel.Snap the second pole into place. Remove the screw from the top of the flag mast and attached the eagle finial by screwing it into place. The eagle wings snap into place so you need to do that first.I used a step ladder to snap the top section into place. Done!I was careful not to let the flag touch the ground at any time, and I also used the dirt from the hole to cover the concrete. Grass will eventually find its way there or rocks, flowers, or some other decorative feature would be nice.Proper flag etiquette is to light it at night if it remains up all the time. I have a solar spotlight to use on mine. You can also buy lengths of black bands to attach to the flag specifically to signify half-mast.I’m very handy so this was quite an easy project for me. If you want to forego the extra work I did, you can have it anchored in the ground and flag waving in five minutes. It’s very simple. It’s sturdy and looks great, and I love that the flag spins with the wind rather than getting all tangled around the flag pole.I love it!

This flag does the job
This flag allows us to proudly display our American pride with little to no installation time. It took about 15 minutes to do because my husband hammered the stake as far into the ground as possible. The hardest part about it was making sure the stake was aligned so the flagpole isn't crooked. That part took us a couple tries to get right.Unfortunately mine didn't come with the Eagle topper but that wasn't enough for us to return it. Instead the pole is topped with a black cap. I read some reviews about aluminum poles snapping, but because this design had a swiveling flag and easy installation, we decided to chance it. It's been flying for a couple weeks and in various weather conditions (rainy and windy) and although the pole does sway in the wind, it seems sturdy enough not to break (hopefully). I'm very happy with it & proud to fly this flag in front of my home.

Nice!
The mount itself is great, but the pole could be stronger. The flag isn't made in the USA, its made in Taiwan. it's pretty windy out right now and its holding up, The box don't lie, it did take a minute to install, although i did put some bricks around it to help it stay up a little better. i used to fly my flags from 7am to 8:50pm, but im gonna leave 'em up with my second pole, unless its a hurricane out. its was holding up nicely. i would HIGHLY recommend it. update* after 6 days the top red stripe has started separating from the rest of the flag* September 14 2013, flag pole broke just above the mount, lucky it didn't fell on my neighbour's truck. ill be ordering another one Monday, this time, im gonna put it in a less windy area, maybe my backyard second one is holding up nicely, but im not convinced until it surpasses the time the first one lasted.

Excellent Customer Service
I ended up returning this flag not because of the quality of the product but because the space I have to fly a flag is too small for it and I ended up purchasing a smaller flag. I have to say the customer service of this company is fantastic. Not one problem with returning the flag, they kept me updated as to when I could expect to see the refund go to my card and it was an overall great experience. The product didn't work out for me, but I highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks.

Easy to install is certainly a great selling point
Easy to install is certainly a great selling point, but could definitely use some "upgrades" to parts. The flag that comes with the pole is cheap, as noted by other reviewers (I didn't care since I'm not using it anyway). The flag literally attaches to the pole by cheap binder clips, which I quickly replaced with steel carabineers (40mm x 4mm but they are a little short, probably better off going with 50mm x 5mm or larger). I also couldn't get the ground mount level so I had to buy a steel stake to drive in in front of it. It would have been nice if the mount system itself had two stakes to achieve level. The flag pole is definitely very light weight and I'm hoping it holds up in the wind! All in all so far, it looks good and beats digging a hole and pouring cement!

2 piece flagpole exceeds expectations.
This product was purchased to easily display my American flag more prominently in front of my home. It was easy to assemble although it will take longer than the 1 minute installation mentioned on the package. 5 - 10 minutes should do it. It is a light weight but sturdy construction. I have not tested it in any high wind situations yet, but it works very well in the moderate wind conditions I have experienced. The flag does not hang up or catch like my old one did, it swings freely around the pole. I can quickly remove the pole from the holder to bring into my garage at night, it unsnaps to leave 2 shorter sections to handle. It easily stores in my garage. The 12' height is perfect for my location. I would say anyone who wants a low maintenance, sturdy, reasonably priced option would like this product.

Perfect replacement
We have had one of these previously but one of those Texas storms destroyed it. This is a nice and easy setup. I really like the snap together pieces and the feature so the flag does not get tangled. Good product. Glad to find a replacement on Amazon.
