Darice VL5628, Fab Edge Haircomb Plastic 4-Inch, 2-Piece

I purchased these hair combs in preparation for my wedding. I planned to repurpose part of my mother's veil and needed a simple plastic clip for my hair. The clips were as expected in size and quality, but served the purpose for the veil I was making. It was nice to have the second clip as a back-up in case of any mishaps and the price certainly justified even though I only ended up using one.

Great clip, however, my florists left the white cloth part on for my wedding floral headpiece, which looked pretty stupid. I didn't have a backup plan...so needless to say it looks odd in some photos:( but held VERY well in my hair (I was head banging by the end of the night). Just do yourself a favor and take off the cloth white part, it will show through your veil (and look dumb/sloppy) and any floral headpiece. Don't trust your florist to fix either, remember if you want it done right, do it yourself!

These two combs are okay -- a little large for my use. My hair is like corn silk - very fine and since I stopped having permanents very silky. It's healthier now than ever but makes it difficult to hold combs and barrettes -- even bobby pins. Not the fault of the combs, of course.

Using to attach my veil to!

Wife used it, she says: "Used to create veil for bride, very easy to stitch veil onto satin edge on comb. Easily held huge veil onto brides long hair."

My dressmaker was happy to see that I ordered the correct hair combs for my wedding veil. Although I like the satin fabric, I would have preferred a metal comb with satin.

As described. Haven't used them yet but they do look a bit cheaply made.
