Beautiful and frightening, just like childhood
TROLL BRIDGE by Neil Gaiman and Colleen Doran captures the boundless energy of youth! Colleen Doran spent three years working on the illustrations and it has paid off beautifully. I have seen some of the unlettered black and white pages, so to see how well the finished product conveys Neil Gaiman's story is marvelous. The manner in which Colleen Doran uses paneling is judicious, but it is the none-paneled pages which effortlessly guide the eye while allowing her images to really breathe. Neil Gaiman first published this as a prose story, but Colleen Doran has created a storytelling flow all her own which never disappoints. The lettering by Todd Klein is above reproach. A beautiful book!

Another classic from Gaiman.
A really beautifully sad book with great illustrations to match Gaiman's considerable voice. If you're a fan of Gaiman you won't be let down. The binding appears to be high quality and withstood shipping and use. The story itself is short enough to read in one setting.

Not a children's story, but a good message for adults.
