From ticked off to pleasantly shocked
Let me start by saying I had the same problems many other people had before I finally got these working. When I first got them I installed the batteries, of course, & the transmitter wouldn't turn on. I took the batteries out, put them back in, tried again, still got nothing. So I tried a third time, and a fourth, and finally I got the transmitter to switch on. I plugged it into the TV, turned on the headphones & took a listen. I was surprised to find every FM station in my area when I hit the scan button repeatedly, and when I hit reset I heard the TV audio, but it was not very clear, & anywhere beyond about 2 feet from the transmitter, I got a smattering of interference from who knows where.Naturally, I was not pleased, to say the least. I took the set downstairs & got slightly better results (no interference & a range of about 10 feet), but I was convinced I had just made a terrible purchase & resolved to send this product back the next day. I immediately decided to write a nasty review but before I did, I read some that others had written, and decided to give the headphones another try. I'm not saying this will work for you, but HERE'S WHAT I DID, AND IT WORKED:I turned on the transmitter, turned on the headset, pressed reset and got the usual (terrible) signal from the receiver, then hit the scan button & after passing just ONE local FM station, I found the CRYSTAL CLEAR audio from the TV. I then proceeded to walk 50 feet to the other end of the house, down the stairs & all around the basement, and never lost the signal.I can't verify the "100 feet" claim, but I can say that it works from one floor to the next and across at least 50 feet with lots of walls and other obstructions between the transmitter & headset. I am completely happy with them now and just waiting to see how long the batteries hold up. For the frustration & lack of clear instructions I can't give it 5 stars, but this product is wonderful once you figure it out.

Works very well for an low price.
I live in a remote area so I have no background radio signals and I immediately hooked it up to the output on th dish box. I worked immediately. It is clear all throughout my house (upstairs and down) and out in the garage. I got it primarily to listen to the tv while using exercise equipment and it works beautifully for my purposes.I took my first one to my friends house, and got myself another one.EDIT: I have since bought two more of these. Now that I have had these for a while, I have discovered a few caveats.1) The volume knob is cheaply installed. When they work they work very well for me. On the first set, I fell asleep and ended up having to constantly wiggle the volume control knob until it worked and if I turned my head it would go off. It was this problem that made me decide to purchase a couple more sets.2) On the second set, I found that I had to apply downward pressure on the volume knob until the light comes on, then do it a couple more times until it stays on. Problem is especially bad if the battery is low.3) so now I have opened the third set of these. This one is working fine. I wish I knew where to just get a rf set of headphones that would work with this transmitter. I am using the original transmitter. It is just that the headphones are made badly, and it is not even all of the headphones. All of the problems I have encountered center on the volume control on/off knob.If anyone knows where I could just get a set of scanning rf headphones, that would be great. As far as these, I am satisfied thus far. They are cheap enough to replace occasionally, and they work really well when they do work.

ONE VERY DISSATIFIED CUSTOMER!!!!
I have been a regular customer of Amazon for quite a long time. All in all I have been very satisfied with the products, prices and timely shipping of all the merchandise I have received. This product may be marginally OK if you lived where there were no FM stations within 200 miles. In the real world the fundamental design principal is that the base unit transmits at about + or - 88.1 MH---the lower end of your regular FM dial. The power level the base unit transmits at is not even close to overcoming the interfering commercial FM transmitters. So mono FM is what you hear in your headphones. They go on and on implying you are too dim to understand how to properly use this toy. Push buttons, reset--scan button--again--again! DAH! News flash!!!! Folks now days even know how to use these new gadgets called COMPUTERS!!! Do NOT confuse this toy with a wireless headphone/base unit operating at 900megs.Granted it is CHEAP. BUT, when I see an ad that says the unit has a 100 foot range and plugs into a sound source to be clearly heard at that range I expect it to be able to do that. I don't care if it's free!! Otherwise it is called "False Advertising!" Simple. Re: the FM thing. No mention of it being able to scan a few FM stations when the base unit is turned off---and when it is turned ON! However, they are in monaural and again dependent upon how far you are from a transmitter. I didn't want a monaural FM receiver that I have no idea of what stations I may be repeatedly resetting and scanning to happen to receive! I wanted a wireless headphone/base unit that I could listen to my TV audio with.Further, they don't mention that the male RCA pin jacks that are attached to the input wire of the base unit are worthless on the vast majority of audio sources these days. This is the type that used to be used on audio amps, etc. years ago. Solution: go out and buy an adapter that goes from stereo RCA female pin jacks (red & white one) to a 3.5mm stereo male connecter (that plugs into the vast majority of TV and etc. audio output jacks in the real world today). Also, go buy 2 AA and 2 AAA batteries for the base unit and headphones----to start with. Better yet, don't buy this toy!!In fairness they did offer to credit my account for the purchase. I'm suppose to screw around packing this gadget up and getting it shipped! For the credit I don't have time to fiddle with it. Oh, graciously they offered to credit me AND!!!! not charge me a restocking fee! Whoopy! Also, they state in RED LETTERS that they GUARANTEE your satisfaction! HA! I'll be satisfied when I get a functional wireless headphone/base unit that works and lives up to their ad info. It sure as heck won't be a MyZone ordered through UNPLUGGED!!

How to listen tv and music quietly
A good set of devices. It helps me to listen to every word with the sound level in TV set put to zero. No bathering anyone. I use a 120 to 3 Volt DC power supply for the transmitter and 2 battery 1.5 Volt for the had set. Can go to another room or the bath room and still the sound is ok. It is a perfect thing to use it with TV or another devices that have añ analog sound out. But if you have a new TV or anything else that has only an optic digital sound out it is still ok. Just you need to buy a cheap (about §30) digital to analog audio decoder, for example, Pan long, and a short piece of an optical cable about 50 sm long. And you have a good and cheap set of things to listen TV OR music without bather ing no one.I have rwo sets of transmitter-headset. But I use one transmitter and two headsets plus one digital optic cable and one digital to analog decoder. Thank you for reading that.

I have had absolutely no issues with these headphones. They fit on my head comfortably. I use these headphones when I'm on my treadmill and I want to listen to music or watch TV. I would recommend highly. Good price and quick delivery.

Instructions are not detailed enough. Took some time to find the technique to alleviate static noise. Tv attachment is a bit flimsy. But adequate for casual use.
