Fishpeople Comfort Seafood Starter Pack, 5 Count

I have tried & liked Fishpeople soup for the ingredient quality and convenience, so I was eager to get this sampler pack of entrees. They had a small discount ('warehouse deal'). All had 'best by' dates within 6 months. None were expired. As I expected, when cooked, the meals did not quite match the photos on the boxes. The fish was plentiful, mixed throughout the pasta in small bits rather than large chunks. Vegetables were evident, but they did not keep their bright colors. Overall, each meal looked beige...but I was eating them, not instagramming. They get 5 stars from me not only because they are shelf stable (think power outages or the biology experiment of a refrigerator at work), but also because they're real food at a reasonable price. Add a piece of fruit, V8, or a cup of yogurt and you have a well-balanced, inexpensive, portion-controlled meal.

Taste ok, but nothing to write home about.

I ordered these because I had tried 2 of their soups that I really liked. The first one I tried was the sole, & while it smelled OK, it tasted spoiled. One bite & I dumped it. I decided to try the tuna & never even got around to taking a bite. It smelled horrible. I should add that they both had 6 months left before their expiration date. Save your money & maybe try their soup.

I ordered this because I had purchased and liked one of the items.....still liked my original choice, but not thrilled with other choices....
