Colonial Living

This is a classic Colonial Living book with so many illustrations. I loved it as a child and I bought it again to add some special interest to my family genealogy. Lots of pictures to choose from. A lot of information included.

My daughter and I love this book. It focuses on not only how they lived, but how they made their food, clothing, houses, etc. It's a fabulous book and I highly recommend it for those interested in reading about colonial living of the East Coast of the US.

I ordered this as a homeschool book for our unit study on Early American History. I find myself spending the afternoons reading it, myself! It's an interesting, enjoyable, informative read for, quite literally, the whole family (as a read-aloud). There are short sections for many aspects of Colonial life, from dress and occupations to farming implements and a typical meal. It's a great overview book for this period of history, and one you'll find yourself returning to over and over.

Wonderfully descriptive and informative book. The hand-drawn illustration are amazing and so helpful. I recommend this book to those who are curious about the colonial period and also to writers in search of immersive details for their historical novels. Though packed with specific knowledge, I found it a good read and breezed through it in one afternoon.

I own four of these, and love them. The history of the United States is reflected in these books. Also pre-political correctness, when people were proud of our history. Buy these and save them for your kids and grand kids...

This book has wonderful descriptions, pen drawings, and details about every aspect of colonial life.
