The material is like a nylon, so yes, but cheap zipper. Broke after a few uses.

I dont see why not. It is a wee bit on the small side for a pack, but it worked well for my 5" cell and large bifold wallet and pen and some cash. ....waist belt adjusts to fit waist sizes 23 to 45.3 Inch.
