My grandchildren loved this series by Karen Kaufman Orloff and David Carton
I want an iguana, I want a knew room and I want to go home are great books to read to children. My grandsons and granddaughters love the story, loved the drawings on each page, which was almost more fun as finding Waldo. It is a book for the imagination and real issues some children feel. Most of all I loved reading it over and over to them. My oldest grandson was about 9 years old when he started reading it to his little brother.

Another terrific book!
Another fun book from Karen Kaufman Orloff! This delightful story centers around the relationship between a boy and his grandparents. Alex is reluctant at first to spend a week with his grandparents while his parents take a vacation. Who can blame him? They live at Happy Hills Retirement Community and their idea of fun is bridge and square dancing. But when Grandpa asks Alex to show him a few soccer moves and they let Alex order anything he wants at the diner, things start to look up. As they spend time together, Alex learns a thing or two about the good 'ole days (stickball, black and white television, etc) and comes to appreciate their time together.Sure to be a hit with kids and their grandparents!

There's No Place Like Home
Following in the tradition of the other "I Wanna" books, Orloff tells a quirky tale in letters to parents from a little boy, who doesn't want to be at his grandparents' home, but this time they are in the updated format of emails.
